- Before she died, Julia Belmont didn't blame Richter for her death. She apologized to him, probably worried that she couldn't protect him.
- Shoutout to one of the vampires, the wife of a Marquis. She hunted a human down and brought him back so that she and her husband feed on the poor fellow together.
- On top of that, the Marquesse continued to keep her husband's head, and became a Crusading Widow until she died by Richter's hand. Even Evil Has Loved Ones is in full effect, given that while the vampire aristocrats have Moral Myopia, they still have human feelings, and a sense of community as well, banding together in the same beliefs.
- The vampire aristocrats banded together and mourned the Marquis during the funeral pyre. It's a humanizing moment that adds credence to Olrox's side of the story - that vampires have varying scales of morality.
- Even while she's carrying his head around at various meetings, none of the vampires mock her or give her weirded out looks for it. As morbid as it is, even they recognize it as a widow mourning her beloved husband and coping in her own way.
- It should be noted that the only two vampires who do not mourn the Marquis are Bathory and Drolta themselves, which means that the rank and file are more interested in not burning alive and feeding on blood rather than any Take Over the World scheme.
- Similar to the wife of the Marquis, Olrox — despite his insistence to the contrary — cares deeply for Mizrak. During the Season 1 finale, when Erzsebet goes on the warpath, Olrox whisks Mizrak away from the battle to save his life.
- Edouard offering Maria to sing for her dead familiar as a funerary farewell. In a series rife with tragedy, it's touching to see a small solace of comfort.
- Annette and Edouard's backstory. He saved her from her slave master, inducted her into the Maroons, and even followed her across the ocean. It's no wonder why she was devastated when he died and got turned into a Night Creature.
- It's also implied that Annette was not the first slave that Edouard has saved.
- Richter and Maria are Like Brother and Sister, snarking and ribbing one another as naturally as his ancestors Trevor and Sypha. Push comes to shove, however, they are firm allies. After Richter returns to his friends following his run-in with Orlox and subsequently meeting Juste, the two even share a big hug.
- Edouard spends most of the season in a cell, yet arguably has just as much impact as any of the other heroes. Not by fighting, by talking to the others, asking them their names, who they were. By singing to them. And then, they start to remember too.
- When all looks bleak, after failing to transport the Devil Forge Machine back to Hell as well as leaving Tera to be converted into a vampire so that she buys time for the others to escape, when all things look bleak when Drolta appears and prepares to finish off Richter and the others... Alucard appears and swiftly ends her, giving raise to a renewed light of hope in the near future...
