  • 1.3.33: After being hit by a massive golem, Kendal's first concern is Alinua's safety. Then the two share a hug in relief.
  • 1.6.18: Erin offering to help Kendal rescue Vash once he gets his possession issue under control.
  • After learning about how Alinua's parents have abandoned her because of her mark, Kendal feels incredibly lonely, as his only frame of reference for understanding people was to know everything about them, as a god like Vash would. Alinua reassures him that he isn't alone, and that he really came to know her in the way that matters for mortals.
Alinua: Just talking. It's how mortals connect. And I think you're already pretty good at it, honestly. It's how you got me out of my tree and into the real world.
  • 1.10.21 As Jolon is trying to convince Falst to join him Kendal responds to his Break Them by Talking.
Jolon: Kindness is reserved for the privileged. The world is a very different place for the monstrous and ugly.
Kendal: Do you really believe that? You really think everyone faking their kindness? I've known a hundred thousand mortal lifetimes. I've seen them spare compassion for people more monstrous than anyone here.
    * A picture of The Collector is shown as Kendal transitions from Kirk Summation to "Reason You Suck" Speech.*
Kendal: I've seen people like you, too. Do you all justify your monstrosity by convincing yourselves that you're no worse than anyone else?
  • 10.10.30: Erin says that if anything, they owe Falst for attacking him and offers to help in the future. Falst is stunned for a second, suggesting he's never experienced such kindness.
  • 1.11.15: Erin shows a surprising amount of emotional intelligence in reassuring Alinua that she is still herself, even as Life's vessel.
Erin: All that confidence and freedom - that's not your magic. None of that would matter to a primordial. That's YOU.
  • 1.13.4: Continuing the tradition of random guards being nice people, one guard tries to cheer Dainix up (despite his unjust imprisonment, and being forced into death-matches in the arena) by reminding him that he'll be out in less than a year and he'll be able to see his family again.
  • 1.13.24: Kendal's response after Dainix explains how he wound up in the arena?
Kendal: I'm so sorry. Nothing about that is fair.
  • 1.14.11: Alinua decides to save Tess from Shrike and her hunters, even though their only prior interaction had been a short conversation under shady circumstances. Doubles as a Moment of Awesome.
  • After Erin was put through the ringer during the fight with Tynan, many fans enjoyed seeing Tess hoisting him up and helping him walk through his injuries.
  • After hearing how hopeless Dainix's search for a way to control his Crucible powers is looking, Erin offers him to come with them to the Soulshaper Monastery as well as a tangible and reliably accessible lead in the form of the "Treatise on Soulfire". Dainix is overjoyed to hear this, and nearly tackles Erin by hugging him.
  • Tess, after an inconsolable Alinua tells her that without Kendal, nowhere ever feels like home, gently places her hand on her and unwraps Alinua's hand from Kendal's sword, which she had been clutching tightly for a while. She then shares her own similar experience with struggling to call someplace home after being forced to live for other people nearly her entire life, and how she eventually managed to build a home in spirit for herself. She caps it off by offering to share her home with Alinua until she feels better. Alinua, who's almost been completely numbed from the grief, breaks down crying in her arms and falls asleep, and Tess tucks her into bed.
    • In Tess' flashbacks, her returning to her family after being Sparked is a joyous occasion both in and out of universe. Everyone is cheering as Tess is hugged by her mother as her disbelieving father runs to her, both of them crying tears of relief.
  • Kendal's conversation with the souls of the citizens of Vash starts off as a Tearjerker, but morphs quickly into Heartwarming.
    • He admits that he doesn't feel like he deserves to exist, since he only exists because they died and he failed to "make up for that" by saving them. The citizens of Vash-the-city immediately reassure him that none of them hold a grudge, that they're happy that someone remembers them and their city, and that they consider Kendal and his memories of them to be their legacy.
Beran: "How could we ever hate you for living?... You're more of a legacy than we ever could've hoped for."
    • One citizen flat-out tells Kendal that he doesn't have to continue, and gives him the choice to live a normal, happy life.
Random citizen: "If you choose to put down your sword and live a peaceful, joyous life - that life will still be a greater gift than any of us dreamed of."
    • In the penultimate scene, Kendal finally realizes what he actually wants and internalizes that he's not alone, thinking about his friends in the process, before finally waking up from his coma. One interpretation of the friends he pictures as part of his Heroism Motive Speech is that they each helped him to arrive to these conclusions by inspiring him.
      • "I want to help people": Alinua is seen with her hand on a tree, as she was when she grew the tree that would help Windcrest feed themselves while they dealt with the loss of their primary source of energy.
      • "I want to see the world": Erin is seen with a map in his hands. He is also the most knowledgeable about the world, and particularly, the one most enthiusiastic to learn about it, as seen with his interest in ruins and scientific oddities, and share his information with others.
      • "Some people are cruel. They hurt others for nothing but their own selfish gains. I want to stop them, and protect the ones they hurt": Falst and Dainix are seen surrounded by chains, with Falst on his knees while Dainix is in the process of transforming into his Crucible form. Not only have they both suffered injustices at the hands of cruel people when Kendal met them, they also took risks in order to save the gang while they barely knew them, Falst by attacking Jolon who had the lacrima he was desperate for, and Dainix by transforming into a full Crucible and going after the Void Dragon.
  • The dungeon arc is FULL of heartwarming moments between Falst and Dainix as they bond over being stuck in a dungeon together.
    • Many, many times during the arc, Falst and Dainix catch each other somehow or end up in each others' arms.
    • After the fight with the giant spider, Dainix makes Falst accept medical treatment, and Falst realizes he's been abrasive and cools off a little. Then Dainix bandages Falst's arm, and the two of them connect over not liking who they are/were. Falst BLUSHES after Dainix finishes telling Falst about his experiences, and the look on his face later that page is heartwarming.
    • After Dainix saves Falst from the cave crawler fight, Falst collapses from his injuries and Dainix bridal carries him into a safe area and treats his wounds.
    • During the fight with the slime thing, Dainix saves Falst by beginning to turn into Crucible mode. While changing, he asks Falst to save them both and tells Falst he trusts him. It manages to be absolutely heartwrenching.
  • When Falst complains that Argist isn't doing more to help the heroes, like giving them “an unstoppable ally that yields to neither death nor pain,” Dainax says that that one makes sense, since the god already knows that they have Falst.
