- What was Eric planning to do if all went his way in the second case in the second game? If things went his way, he would've successfully convinced everyone the Ancient Artifact was stolen by the Cornstalker. But it wasn't, is the thing. That was part of his plan to fool the Cornstalker, and frame him for his theft. But the thing is, he was doing that to frame him for the theft of the artifact. But he would've been left in a situation where the collectible card was the thing that had disappeared. The card would've been discovered to have vanished eventually. The fact he's framed the cornstalker for the theft of the other lot isn't gonna mean anything once everyone enviably out the card's gone.
- It’s been a while since I played that case, (Oh, my poor DS, where have you gone?) but maybe he assumed everyone would think the Cornstalker just took that, too? I mean, in this game he’s almost exclusively after the artifacts, but he’s probably stolen tons of other valuable things before the beginning of the game. Even in THIS game he was about to steal Silver until he heard how “pathetic” he sounded. (Sorry, Silver. :( ) So it wouldn’t be out of the question for him to nick a valuable baseball card.
