    Izzy healing the flowers
  • Does the scene at Posey's house show that unicorns also have Green Thumb powers? Because that seems to go against the theme of earth ponies being as powerful as everyone else.
    • It looked more like Izzy was using her telekinesis to straighten out the flowers she had collided into.
    • Or a time-reversal spell to revert the flowers to the state they were in before.
      • Why would that be the case over telekinesis? Time magic has been shown in G4 to be more power/skill-intensive than a unicorn, especially without training, could accidentally cast.

    Misty in the Filly Four
  • How did Misty, a socially-awkward and unassertive pony with no experience, get into the Filly Four? Sure, the last position is a rotating one that isn't seen as important, but shouldn't the group have some standards, not to mention do basic background checks on new members?
    • Managers can often miss important details in interviews. Sugar might have done the same, especially if social media hasn't been that commonplace in Maretime Bay.
    • Also, Sugar seem superficial caring more about appearance than such.

    The backstory
  • Sunny gives the settings backstory about how a unicorn hurt an earth pony, leading to Twilight to create the Unity Crystals and the tribes splitting. But where/when did they learn that, given they had no idea about the Crystals until recently? Even if they know of it offscreen, you'd expect them to state how important this would be. And why is Sunny calling it true despite being contracted by recent evidence, the message from Twilight stating she created them to keep it out of the villain?

Misty always calling Opaline by name
  • Why does Misty always refer to her adoptive mother Opaline with her own name even in her presence instead of "Mom" and "Mother"? You'd think that someone as harsh and cruel of an adoptive parent as Opaline would force her to address her as such.
    • Opaline never cared for the kinds of responsibilities/empathy that would make her want to be seen as a parent as opposed to an authority figure. Plus, it would risk making her manipulations too obvious.

     Royal library
In "The Manesquerade Ball", why would Zipp need to sneak into the royal library given she the princess and the security system lets her though meaning she's authorized to enter? And if she's authorized why didn't she do so back when she was researching before A New Generation (seems no way she'd miss such important material if she had access prior)?

     Invisibility bubble working?
  • So Twilight an invisibility bubble over Equestria to hide it and its magic from Opaline, which by the end of Chapter 5 is still in effect such Opaline needed the Together Trees to get in. But if it's hidden, how is it Misty was able to find it such she regularly goes to and from it? And even if it somehow only worked on Opaline what's stopping her from from just having Misty lead her there?
    • The bubble may also act as a force field to repel her. If Equestria were that easy for her to enter, Opaline wouldn't need Misty as much in the previous Chapters.
      • But why would a force field powerful enough to repel Opaline not be able to repel a normal unicorn like Misty? If attuned to only repelled Opaline, that seems contradicted by she got her surveillance magic and magic mouse in, only being blocked close to the Unity Crystals.
      • Sunny did theorize the spell that created the bubble that kept her at bay was damaged when magic returned. Maybe it was enough for Opaline to get some of her magic through.
    • The bubble repels Opaline (either because she's an alicorn, she has "fire magic", or it's tuned to her specifically) but not ordinary ponies. Opaline can't enter Equestria, but Misty can. It's that simple.
      • But then why is it being called an invisibly bubble if it doesn't work by keeping it invisible? Why not just say it only works on Opaline?

     Not recognizing Misty?
  • Why didn't Alphabittle recognize Misty was his long lost daughter at "The Manesquerade Ball" which made a point about how see-though the disguises were (another pony got in the way before he got a good view and Queen Haven distracted him afterward, but you'd still expect him to investigate something so important), nor Queen Haven who met Misty at present recognized them in her childhood photo? Even if she's older she still has the same distinct mane and body color that makes it seem like they should have at least considered the possibility?
    • Alphabittle did see some familiarity, but it's been at least a decade. He probably assumed she was dead by this point. And he's been constantly stimulating his mind about what she looked like, it can be an easy thing to overlook, especially with all the excitement.
      • He stated he refused to leave Bridlewood in case Misty returned, which doesn't seem like it would be the case it he didn't believe she was still alive. Even if he forcing himself to believe it, that makes it seem like he'd be more eager to pursue this lead. And did you mean that nostalgia was blinding him to how different Misty looked at present day?
