Headscratchers / Angelina Ballerina

• In the original cartoon, most female characters are naked from the waist down. So how does anyone not realize she's a girl in the episode where Angelina plays hockey?
  • It's a kids' show airing on PBS. I doubt the censors would allow a scene where they know she's a girl by her "area".
  • Most rodents with prominent genitalia tend to retract them.
  • You probably didn't notice, but male mice in the show are naked from the waist down as well.
  • The characters barely wear clothes and are mostly seen naked throughout the show, aside from small accessories such as ribbons. Even in the very first scene of the theme song, Angelina, her father, her mother (aside from an apron), and Alice all do not wear anything. They have fur.
• Why didn't more adults step in once the twins Pricilla and Penelope started causing trouble for both Angelina and Alice?
  • Because Angelina and Alice probably think they’re better off handling it themselves rather than telling an adult to prove their maturity?
