• Christopher Lloyd's introduction. Richard just wants to use a phone to call for a ride home in through the storm, but Mr. Dewey insists in Cloud Cuckoolander fashion that this boy dripping wet from the storm surely came in to rent some books, stating that he "has a talent for guessing what people need", suggesting verious books to him, getting hammier with each one. Once Richard finally gets to explain himself, Mr. Dewey immediately deflates and gets completely professional, calmly directing him to the EXIT sign, should he get lost.
• Fantasy is introduced grumbling about getting wrinkles in her The Little Mermaid-themed underwear.
• When Fantasy wallops Adventure.
  Adventure: Ow, me binding!
• Outside the house, Fantasy reads the name plate that says 'Dr. Jekyll' and then 'Mr Hyde' is carved crudely into the stone underneath.
  "Dr Jekyll? Mr Hyde? Hmm...must be a duplex."
• While walking through Dr. Jekyll's laboratory, the characters pass a transparent chemical tube and are provided nightmarish funhouse-mirror reflections as the camera looks through it...all save for Horror, whose reflection is a handsome human male in a button-up shirt. What's more is he stops to turn to the camera and admire himself.
• When Dr. Jekyll offers Richard a drink, Adventure claims it's a man's drink and steps in. Horror then asks if he can have the olive.
• When the books talk about Captain Ahab.
  Fantasy: He's possessed!
  Horror: He's insane!
  Adventure: He's my kind of guy!
  • Bonus points for Patrick Stewart starring as Captain Ahab in the 1998 Moby Dick miniseries.
• As the group gets closer to Fantasy's section, her magic starts to come back. When Adventure asks about it, she decides to test it on him. Adventure strikes a heroic pose, likely expecting something like a Badass Longrobe, only for him to be colored pink wearing a tutu.
  Adventure: YOU'VE GONE OVERBOARD, MISSY!
• The last lines of the film.
  Adventure: Hmm, you know what would make this a happy ending? A kiss.
  Horror: Doh, okay. (the picture goes black, as a smooch is heard)
  Adventure: I meant from her! (Fantasy can be heard laughing as he sputters and spits)
