"If one does not work, he shall not eat."

In a slightly grim story, moments of true hilarity always manage to shine through.

Volume 1: Thus, She is Reborn
  • In the anime, Mitsuki is summoned to the other world in the middle of eating breakfast, and he manages to land in such a way that he gets his bowl of rice spilled in his hair.
  • When Mitsuki first meets Menou, the novel draws attention to the slit in her skirt exposing the leather garter on her thigh, which is described as a "near-fatal experience for the young boy."
  • Mitsuki briefly has the idea of finding success in this new world by introducing the people to "new inventions" like "this crazy new thing called mayonnaise." Menou gently breaks it to him that Otherworlders have been introducing "new inventions" to their world for some time now, and that mayonnaise is delicious.
  • In Episode 2 Momo distracts the castle guards by... waving her arm and insulting them.
Momo: Hello there, stupid Noblesse! I'm a suspicious intruder!
  • A terrorist tries to take advantage of a hostage situation by ordering Menou to do a Shameful Strip, which she's actually completely nonplussed by since she planned to use it to kill him. Then Akari suddenly gets in between and offers to do so instead, which just results in both the terrorist and Menou being incredibly baffled and confused. The outcome for him is still the same either way.
  • Momo kicks Ashuna off the train turning their fight, but the princess manages to grab her ankle on the way down, causing Momo to yell her head off at her as the two fall.
  • The fourth episode of the anime explains some of the backstory of the world and how Otherworlders could become Lost Ones or even like the Four Major Human Errors. Then in the midst of the exposition of Otherworlders, it cuts to a painting depicting two ordinary Japanese high school students as messianic figures that reshaped the world by their knowledge and power. The sheer absurdity of this anime-original scene practically seems like a parody of most other Isekai stories out there rather than the Deconstruction the story usually is.
  • Flare is borderline psychotic in her Well-Intentioned Extremist work, but is also Brutally Honest about how full of crap her tagline of "pure, just and strong" is when she wonders if a young Menou is just too stupid to understand sarcasm. Considering Menou uses that as her Borrowed Catchphrase in the present, one wonders if Flare had a point.

     Volume 2: Whiteout
  • Momo casually mentions that she had an off-screen encounter with Ashuna which ended with her trapping the princess in the bottom of a dungeon surrounded by violent gargoyles, saying that she hopes that killed but knowing that it likely didn't. In the anime Momo even gives her a Eyelid Pull Taunt.
  • When Akari tries to get Menou to allow her to feed her some watermelon, Menou "disarms" her and instead shoves the fruit into Akari's mouth like she's in the middle of combat. Even funnier is Akari's dopey reaction.
  • When Ashuna shows herself to Momo, she immediately jumps to attack the princess while screaming that she's going to kill her. The scene then instantly cuts to the two of them sitting peacefully together at a bar.
  • Momo is delighted to see Menou in a dress at the ball, only to immediately become appalled when she sees Akari there as well.
  • Akari is clearly having a blast wearing Menou's usual outfit at the ball, even introducing herself with Menou's usual "I'm a pure, just, and strong priestess!" Catchphrase to a few baffled partygoers.
  • Pandemonium of all characters gets one: she gets all offended and pouts when Menou calls her a monster.
    Pandemonium: How mean!
  • Ashuna enters the battle and Pandemonium, who used both her arms as sacrifices, makes a quip about how she'd like to shake the princess's hand but is unable to.
