Being an early Star Wars game, this piece has several humorous aspects whether they were intentional or not.

  • There is a cheat code that alters the "Hunt-A-Droid" game mode. Instead of Imperial Probe Droids, you go around shooting multiple clones of Jar Jar Binks which say "How wude!" when they explode.
  • Despite the actual character for the STAP being a Jawa named Wittin, the intro, victory, and defeat quotes are all done by the battle droid, making it seem like he is the actual character.
  • Some of the matchups are clearly incompatible with each other, like the idea of a tiny STAP or a Landspeeder going up against a rancor, or better yet a lone guy with a jetpack decimating vehicles almost two or three times his size.
    • On top of that several of the vehicles are not designed for the terrain they are fighting on.
      • The Snowspeeder was designed for arctic environments, and can somehow just as easily navigate desert sands or even the vacuum of space as if they were snowy tundras.
      • The Landspeeder is this galaxy's version of a corvette, and can somehow go up against armored battle tanks and other heavy vehicles.
      • The AT-ST would float off the Death Star into space since it is a land-based vehicle dependent on gravity.
      • There's also the idea that the Empire doesn't mind a full-on demolition derby occurring on the secret construction site of its most classified weapon in the galaxy.
  • A bit of meta-analysis makes us realize that Leia rescued Tia and Ghia from Jabba's throne just to make room for herself shortly after.
  • Being a product of early "realistic" animation many fans have noted the uncanny quality of characters and cutscenes.
  • During Tia and Ghia's victory movie, if you look closely their hair actually clips through their heads while they run to the transport off-screen, which results in fairly embarrassing bald spots.
  • In Tia and Ghia's defeat movie, for some reason Tia's hair is suddenly green like Ghia's instead of blue for no discernible reason, even though their character select icon and victory movie clearly show Tia having blue hair.
  • General Otto looks like a Star Wars version of KFC's Colonel Sanders, right down to the bright white, face-encompassing beard.
  • The stark contrast between the token representatives of the Empire and the Rebellion is quite striking. We have Tia and Ghia (two low-rank fighter jockeys who are ace pilots and fairly attractive young women) compared to General Otto (an old man who is an incompetent high-ranking military leader). It's almost like they're trying to say something...
    • Not only that, but Jabba's responses to their losses are complete opposites. He immediately hands Otto over to the Empire (sending him away from the palace forever) and enslaves Tia and Ghia while chaining them to his throne (effectively keeping them in the palace for the rest of their lives, although he failed to account for Leia's response...).
  • Lando/Skreej's defeat movie is...strange to say the least. His punishment for losing is basically just being forced to eat one of Jabba's paddy frogs. Mildly tame compared to the usual torture, enslavement, or execution that we come to expect from the other defeat movies.
