Funny / Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers

Go To

  • A lot of the Boo Brothers' antics.
    • Freako states that he has a much scarier scary face than Shreako. Meako then trolls Freako by acting as if his regular face is already too hideous to look at.
    • In order to prove their chops, Freako gets out a windup toy ghost for them to demonstrate chasing for their new clients. The phrase Epic Fail does not give their efforts justice. Shreako accidentally dives through Meako and gets stuck inside him for a while, Freako whacks Shreako in the head several times with a mallet with his back swing while pursuing the ghost, and eventually the toy ghost is just on the floor doing break dancing moves while avoiding pounds from Meako and Shreako's mallets.
    • When they find one clue and Freako demands to know what it says;
Shreako: It doesn't say anything. You gotta read it. Boy, am I sharp.
(an annoyed Freako pounds his head to flatten his head temporarily)
      Freako: Now you're flat.
    • Freako asks if Shreako is sick and ask to see his tongue. Shreak responds by sticking it out on him, causing an annoyed Freako to yank it down then snap it back up like a set of blinds.
    • When Freako orders the Others to go "About Face" and head after the Ghost;
Freako: It's facing the wrong way, you dummy.
[Freako grabs Shreako and twists his head around.]
    • Meako trying to pretend to be the clock pendulum and making tick-tock noises to avoid being dragged into a dangerous situation.
    • Shreako and Meako try to get Freako free when Freako gets his head stuck in a door, but instead all three of them get squished.
Shaggy: Like, you Boo Brothers give failure a bad name!
  • Shaggy Tempting Fate by declaring there are no ghosts as they are driving in, leading to one appearing, while Scrappy takes Shaggy's statement at face value.
Scrappy: Too bad. Then I guess that headless horseman is just a phony, huh?
[Shaggy and Scooby look back and scream.]
  • Farquard gloating about Shaggy being caught in quicksand and dragging the others down with him as they try to save him while clinging to a tree branch, then they are catapulted back by the branch, land on one end of a rickety board and cause Farquard (standing on the other end) to be catapulted into the canopy.
  • The Boo Brothers taking on the Ghost of the Colonel has quite a bit of slapstick. At one point when they accidentally get mashed together:
Ghost of the Colonel: [drawing his sword] Fools of a feather stick together, and I'm gonna stick y'all.
[He charges forward, and ends up pinning his sword into the wall due to their transparent nature.]
Shreako: Hey, Grandpa, don't look now, but your sticker, is stuck. Nhuck, nhuck, nhuck.
  • The Sheriff's Establishing Character Moment, where he sees them reckless driving, then does a Double Take after seeing Scooby behind the wheel, loses control of his car and crashes into a billboard for a dentist (destroying all of the perfect teeth advertised on the picture).
Sheriff Buzby: Pull over to the side of the road now, doggy. DOGGY? (Crashes. By the time he backs out, Shaggy has taken back the wheel. Buzby rubs his eyes). I gotta get off the night shift.
  • Billy Bob accidentally blowing himself up (non-fatally) from leaving a trail of gunpowder and throwing a match at it.
  • After Billy Bob shoots off the sheriff's pants, and the lights on his patrol car, the sheriff retreats to answer a call, but yells that when he gets back, Billy Bob is getting TWO tickets.
  • As the Boo Bothers chase their mechanical "demonstration" ghost, Scooby follows them with Shaggy and Farquard stuck on his back and the ape chases all of them, Scrappy just sits there with a microphone acting like he's a race announcer for a bit.
  • The ape dancing with Scooby, who gets away, runs and leads the ape to a terrified Farquard, who becomes its new dance partner.
  • Scooby wanting to stay in the meat cellar, hanging form one of the strings and calling out there's nobody there but "Us hams" causing Shaggy to quip that he's more chicken than ham before dragging him out.
  • Both times Billy Bob accidentally shooting at the ape and it taking his gun away. The first time the ape starts shooting after a fleeing Billy Bob, and the second time, it simply breaks the rifle in half.
  • Scooby trying to leave the hunt to "make a call".
Shaggy: What kind of a call?
    Scooby: This kind. REELLPPP!
  • Sadie Mae wrapping up Billy Bob with his own rifle.
    • Later, when Billy Bob chases the Power Trio down a well, he gloats that his "dingbat sister" can't save them. As he's talking, Sadie walks up behind him and ties the barrel of his gun in a knot. When Billy takes it and pulls the trigger, it explodes.
  • Billy Bob chasing Shaggy around a corner, and then both of them racing back around it being chased by the ape.
  • The Right Behind Me moment where the gang is walking, and insulting Billy Bob when they think he's nowhere around.
Billy Bob: Hey! Who are you two a-callin' a drip?
    Shaggy: You. YOU!
  • When Scrappy thinks that one of the ghosts is hiding inside the piano and jumps up and down on the keys to "give old skull head an earful". Unfortunately, it turns out that Shaggy and Scooby are the ones hiding there.
  • Throughout the special, Scrappy is the one who solves most of the riddles, and at one point Shaggy asks where he got the Smart Ball.
    Scrappy: From Uncle Scooby.
    Shaggy: From Scooby?
    Scooby: Who else? [snickers]
  • The ape riding the mechanical horse.
  • As they walk through the woods, Shaggy discusses his Gut Feeling that someone is right behind them and out to get him, then spends a very long time taking about how it's just nerves and he can convince himself that he's wrong... while right behind him we see Billy Bob try to shot Shaggy, only to be yanked back by Sadie Mae, who then tries to kiss Shaggy only for Billy Bob to yank her back. This goes on back and forth for a while until the Skull Ghost appears in between them and scares Billy Bob off.
  • Scrappy tricking Billy Bob into shooting at the bear, which then chases him off.
  • When they finally retrieve their truck, Shaggy is quite pleased:
Scrappy: [looking back and seeing the ghost of the Colonel pursing them on a bike] Well, then you'd better start running, Shag.
  • Farquard is trying to overhear where the next family jewel is. Unfortunately for him, Freako realizes he's listening in, shushes Shaggy, goes over to the keyhole, winks at Shaggy, and sticks his head through the keyhole.
Freako: SCRAM, YA SNEAK! [Farquard screams and runs away] What a creep.
  • Shaggy getting jumped by a smitten Sadie while looking for the next clue.
Shaggy:[Looking through a bush] Like I must be nuts, looking for knees on a house.
Sadie: [pops out of the bush, and grabs Shaggy by the face] How about lips on a girl?
    • Also, Sadie's expression when she sees the ape coming around the bend.
