- In Gotham, Batman is distracted for all of one second to dispatch a dangerous looking supervillain before getting back to what he considers more important: a quick chit-chat with Dick.
- Mr. Minos is not only aware that he's in a 60s-style spy comic, he seems to revel in it, remarking "It's so fun to play spy."
- During a mission briefing, Dick is sucking on a lollipop to the annoyance of Helena. She abruptly slaps the sucker out of Dick's hand. After the mission briefing, Dick picks the sucker back up, intending to save it. It turns out that the sucker was part of Dick's Batman Gambit to acquire and smuggle DNA out of Spyral, and he had been baiting Helena to knock the candy out of his hand for a while. That, and he actually hated the taste.
- In issue 4, the entire sequence of the group of St. Hadrian's students following a shirtless Dick Grayson around the school, which results in him being forced to change his cover story to a French gay gymnast as punishment. As noted in the same scene, this won't help, and will only lead to "sexy stories". Immediately after this, everybody in the room stares at the speaker like she's grown a second head.
- One issue begins In Medias Res with Dick and Midnighter working together to deliver a baby in a burning helicopter. It's implied that they were at each other's throats just minutes earlier. This moment would probably qualify for the trifecta of funny, awesome, and heartwarming.
- Even with the Hypnos implants obscuring Dick's face, Midnighter is able to recognize Dick from his butt alone, lampshading the Female Gaze that Grayson is known for. Becomes a Brick Joke in issue #12.
- Midnighter singing to himself about taking out the Hypnos implant and killing Spyral agents.
- When Dick is revealing himself as alive to Jason, Tim, and Barbara, each react non-plussed initially that Dick would lie to them like that. However, Damian reacts almost uncharacteristically ecstatic and gives Dick a giant hug. When asked why he isn't reading Dick the riot act over being an ass, Damian simply points without an ounce of sarcasm that Dick KNOWS he's an ass so pointing it out is kind of redundant.
- Dick enlists his brothers & Barbara to help discover the identity of Agent 0. In the midst of holding him upside down, Red Hood complains to Red Robin that somehow Batgirl wound up with the radio call sign "Red".Red Hood: Are there no other colors?
- Crosses the Line Twice, but in Grayson Annual #2, Dick's cover gets blown in his encounter with Superman because the latter mistakes his skyscraper acrobatics as Dick being a suicide jumper. Note that this has happened before.
- Dick spends an entire issue singing his own improvised theme song, all while he and Tiger dispatched Spyral operatives to further weaken the organization. Tiger at first is annoyed, but he later just comes to accept, with strong hints suggesting that it's what made Tiger soften up to Dick and consider him a friend!
- The comic has the gall to have an actual musical number and a James Bond-style opening credit sequence as a montage.
- In #17 Tiger is being attacked by monkey bat things. Only hearing this through the radio, Dick's response is "Please tell me that's just the sound of you watching an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Again."
