Seems that a kiss can render a hard-boiled detective half-boiled.

Despite its darker tone, this is, after all, still a Kamen Rider series, and that means hilarity!

Moment Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

In General

  • In the credits scene, we see Tokime learning how to brew coffee from Shotaro. Afterwards they and Phillip take a sip... before promptly spitting it out because it's that bad.

Main Episodes

  • Episode 1: The first scene, with Shotaro coolly narrating... before Akiko calls him and kills the mood.
  • Episode 3:
    • Shotaro absolutely loses his composure after Tokime kisses him. Akiko's reaction makes it all the better.
    • How does Akiko spring Tokime being Shotaro's new assistant on him? By inverting her usual Catchphrase: she doesn't tell him first! Instead, Shotaro finds out after Tokime suddenly pops up during another Dopant pursuit.
    • Tokime not understanding what's so wrong about sharing a bed with Shotaro. The latter uses all his self-control to refuse the idea, kicking himself out of his own apartment.
  • Episode 4: Shotaro walking in to see Philip and Tokime glaring daggers at each other, with both of them saying they aren't fighting.
  • Episode 5: Philip dismissing the idea of men being in a romantic relationship, with Akiko being... rather enthusiastic about the idea, complete with hearts in her eyes.
  • Episode 6: And said joke in the previous episode leads to Philip doing a binge research on same-sex relationships between men and enthusiastically concluding that two men can be in a romantic relationship with each other, with both Shotaro and Akiko spitting out their coffee. Shotaro later hounds Akiko on planting weird ideas in Phillip's head.
  • Episode 7: When drunk, Akiko writes in a notebook about how her hubby is a bike. Tokime assumes this to be a drunken mistake, rather than literal, since Ryu can in fact become a motorcycle in the source material.
  • Episode 8:
    • To follow it up, Terui transforms into Accel, and then transforms into his motorcycle form. Tokime is absolutely stunned at this revelation.
      • Before that, Ryu instructs Tokime to ride him after he gives the signal, she complies, followed by a Double Take over what he just said.
    • Phillip crossdresses again by disguising himself as Kanna to lure out the Alcohol Dopant, and the cutscene before the commercial break shows Shotaro enthusiastically brushing Phillip's wig.
  • Episode 9: Shotaro and Phillip's dazed expressions after Kuya reveals that unlike the rest of the party in the Kagamino mansion, he cannot drink alcohol, and that his "whiskey" was actually oolong tea.
  • Episode 12: The group check if Tokime has a Gaia Memory port on her body. Philip clicks the Joker Gaia Memory, but nothing happens. Tokime tries checking herself and starts to strip with the boys still there (with Shotaro making a ridiculously detailed face when Tokime checks her breasts). Akiko immediately shoos them out of the room.

End of Episode

  • End-of-Episode skits: Each of the episodes has a short chibi-style skit that is naturally this.
    • Episode 1: Akiko challenges Shotaro to tell the difference between a hard-boiled egg and a soft-boiled one. Shotaro predictably picks the soft-boiled one, and the skit ends with Akiko doing an evil laugh.
    • Episode 2: This time, the skit is shot from Mick's perspective - who witnesses Akiko calling Shotaro a knucklehead for turning down cases. Shotaro's response is that he only wants to take on hard-boiled cases, only for Akiko to retort that that's exactly why she's calling him a knucklehead, which prompts Mick to wonder why humans can't be as peaceful as cats.
    • Episode 3 sees the return of Shotaro's Hardboiled Delusion Diary! This time? "What if Tokime was an Amoeba?" Cut to the main trio enjoying Maritozzi. Shotaro invites Tokime to the table, only for her to perform mitosis on the spot - soon becoming an army of Tokimes. Shotaro promptly responds by throwing out Maritozzi by the armload.
    • What if Shotaro and Phillip switched bodies? As this one would have you believe it, they end up inverting their Henshin pose by accident, forming an 'X' instead of a 'W.' Cue Shotaro (in Phillip's body) yelling "SET UP!" while a certain Showa-Era rider drives by.
    • Episodes 5 and 6: Tokime's hosting a talk-show with Terui, and has a segment called "Teach Me, Terui!" that's heralded by her pulling out a bike horn. Tokime then reads out a question for Terui to answer. Terui's response? "Don't ask me questions!"
    • Episode 9: Pretty much pure Black Comedy - Akiko decides to test the alcohol tolerance of some of the characters in the episode, with those who fail turning into an Alcohol Dopant and toppling over. As it turns out, the one who had the highest tolerance out of everyone there was the butler.
