  • All the Tempting Fate moments with humans unaware they're dealing with vampires.
    • In "For I Have Sinned", Schanke is getting a Mating Dance from a female vampire at the Raven.

      Schanke: Dinner?
    • In "Stranger Than Fiction", Janette is eyeing hungrily the author of vampire novels she's been told to look after.
Author: Would you like a drink?

  • In "For I Have Sinned", Nick is staking out the church for the Villain of the Week, but the religious icons are too much for him and he ducks into a dark closet which turns out to be the confession booth. Then Nick's partner Schanke enters and starts confessing to being tempted towards infidelity. Nick puts on an Irish accent and plays along to troll him until Schanke realises what's happening and angrily pulls open the door. Nick maintains the accent and reiterates his command for Schanke to say his Hail Marys.
  • In "Killers", Schanke wants to duck out for a newspaper when he's supposed to be hiding in the Raven, and promises Janette he'll be right back. "Cross my heart!" Janette flinches and tells him to please not do that in front of her.
  • In "Spin Doctor", after watching a heated debate between the two mayoral candidates, Schanke praises the male candidate; Natalie scoffs that the man's campaign promises are as phony as his weave, to which Schanke deadpans, "Weave? That was a weave?"

Season Three

  • In "Ashes to Ashes", LaCroix is thrown in the lockup under suspicion of murder. When Nick turns up, the other criminals in the cell are sitting in the far corner, staring in silent fear at him.
LaCroix: Clearly I have a future as a sobering influence on the disinfranchised.
