  • Lorath finds The Wanderer in his house uninvited and decides to.... invite them to stay for dinner. All with the deep gravely voice of Ralph Ineson
    • Honestly anything that comes out of Lorath's mouth is said with such dry sardonic wit, you know the Horadric scholar is so done with the Eternal Conflict. He only joins in the fight against Lilith because he wants to stop his former student Elias.
  • Fire Bolt's enchantment ability allows any spell that deals direct damage to light enemies on fire. Including ice magic. This means sorcerers can literally throw chunks of ice at enemies and light them on fire - and enemies can be frozen while on fire.
    • Some people have literally called these builds "Gliese 436 b" builds - since an exoplanet literally has this phenomena happen - the pressure is so high the ice literally burns.
  • Crossing over with awesome moments, when the player performs an exorcism on Sister Octavia, another priest comes in and threatens to expose you for heresy. Sister Octavia manages to blackmail him into submission.
  • Act 3 starts with Lorath passed out drunk in a literal pig sty. After being woken with a pail of water, he declares he lost a fight with a tremendous amount of alcohol, but he likes to think he won the fight against the pig over the mud where he was sleeping.
  • In Act 3, the Wanderer rescues a thief's friend to learn about a secret passage, allowing the two to ride off to safety on a horse. Lorath idly notes he thinks that was actually a nearby merchant's horse and it's probably best not to mention anything.
  • In act three, Elias is apparently killed in a cutscene, but Lorath justifies why he's not quite dead by saying he failed to ensure Elias's demise. So the player kills him again... and finds Elias alive and well seconds later in the next room. So they kill him again... and again... and Elias doesn't come back only because he just gave up. And he's completely unphased by being killed no matter what the player did, it ends up becoming freaking hilarious.
    • By the end of Act V, where Elias's injuries finally become permanent, it's hilarious to see the Smug Snake SOB staring at his wounds in amazement. The player will also be laughing at his idiocy to not receive any alerts if his immortality was disturbed/broken, as it was during the act.
  • The fact that various Damage Over Time effects also work on inanimate objects such as barricades is... oddly humorous. There's something to be said about making a literal barricade bleed to death.
  • One of the quests involves retrieving a blind man's eyes from the demons that stole them. Then he puts the eyes in his sockets, realizes his mistake, and starts running around wildly, screaming in pain before literally exploding. It has to be seen to be believed.
  • A sidequest in Dry Steppes tasks you with retrieving a man's goat, who was stolen by another ne'er-do-well. Your search inevitably leads to the goat's limp body, conditioning the player to expect yet another depressing end to a quest in a game chock full of them. You return back and break the news to the man... who then nonchalantly mentions that the goat isn't actually dead, but comatose from gorging itself with so much salt that it slept! For added Black Comedy, the salt was specifically the goat thief's body having turned to salt during a catastrophe in the desert.
  • Lorath so casually dissecting a demon and taking pieces out of their gullet is funny in quite a twisted way.
  • A sidequest at the Under the Fat Goose Inn in Scosglen has a drunkard asking you to bring him a giant demon's horn so he can win a bet with his brother, who claims to have a demon horn as a trophy. When you bring him a Pit Lord's horn, he realizes that the horn looks nothing like the horn his brother has, meaning that he tricked him, and he is pissed. If you leave the Inn and return later, you can see the two brothers getting into a fistfight outside.
