Act 1: The Comedy of Errors
1st Show: Puppet Ritual
- Practically everything Grand Lorde Guignol says throughout the chapter should be placed on this list. But highlights include:
- Her entering an Academia class with a big grin on her face.
Guignol: (kicks door open) HI EVERYONE!- Sora calls out Guignol for being a monster. Guignol's response is...expected.
Guignol: (loud gasp) Oh how horrible! Your words have cut me sooooo deep in my heart that I could just die! I’m glad I brought my own knife along just for the occasion! Glory to Monsieur Maurey, my loves!
(proceeds to stab herself in the stomach before collapsing onto the floor, there's a long Beat before she stands up and gets applause)- Guignol's puppets cheer her on by singing the chorus to "The Mariner's Song", much to Sora's annoyance.
- When Sora summoned Fluffal Dog, the only thing the puppets can do is shout "PUPPY!" And try to hug it and feed it chocolate covered pretzels.
- Guignol is about to tell Sora a secret. The puppets gasp in horror.
Puppet Yuya: Don't tell him about your troubled past!
Puppet Yuto: Or how you like to read magazines from back to front!
Puppet Yugo: Or the fact that I ate that entire bag of pork rinds last week!
(cue [[Faux Horrific Guignol looking in shock)- As Sora's going through the...after effects of Gone Mad, Yvonne is sitting on a pew and eating rice crackers and feeding her pet raven. By the time it gets to Sora sobbing at an angel statue, she's twirling a finger to her ear in the "cuckoo" fashion.
- When Sora dodges an attack by the use of an Evasion Action Card, he performs a cartwheel. Guignol is impressed.
Guignol: Wait! That cart of wheels...do you know what it was? It was absolutely...
Guignol and her puppets: WONDERFUL! (cue them applauding Sora)- Guignol quotes Dante's infamous speech against Agnus.
Guignol: (as a spotlight is on her) You summon and kill, summon and kill. I fail to see the logic here. After all...Is sanity...the price to pay...for power?!”
(cue Dramatic Thunder in the distance)
Sora: I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!
11th Show: Escape From the Dark Dimension
- Edo proclaims that all of Carroll City should surrender now or prepare to fight. Yvonne decides to mouth off against him.Yvonne: And what if we decide not to bow down to your pathetic ideals on 'Fusion rules, all other methods drool’? What if we decide to fight you? You gonna lock us up in a furnace until we all come up as piles of ash? You gonna make us start babbling different languages? You gonna turn us into pillars of salt? What are you gonna do to us, MC Bat Commander? What are you gonna do? What are you gonna do? What you gonna doooo?
- As Serenity and Ash chase after Yuto, Ash is quite optimistic.Ash: You know, it could be worse.
Serenity: How could this be worse?! We have Academia and Zarc here at the same time while we’re trying to get more students to apply for the new year! Tell me Ash...how could it be worse?
Ash: Zarc was singing 'The Headless Waltz’ before he told Yuya to go murder Yusho and Yuzu, Ren. He could have gone and sing 'Cannibal Buffet’ or ‘Straight Razor Cabaret’ or, Great Raven forbid, ‘Cathouse Tragedy’. I personally love 'The Night’ but wouldn't it be hilarious if Zarc just decided to sing ‘Riding a Black Unicorn’ or ‘Stakes and Torches’ or, just for lulz, ‘Raised by Bats’ instead? Thank goodness he’s not making any of us sing to the ‘Dirtiest Song That Ain’t’ because, wow, poor Mieru would have her mouth be scrubbed with soap if she was asked to finish the lyrics.
Serenity: Ugh! ASH!!- As Yvonne kills people and Saki is dueling, the two go into a Casual Danger Dialogue revolving Yvonne's use of singing "I'm the Bad Guy" and a bet taking place between the two.
14th Show: Big Win?!
- Despite the very very tense moment that is Zarc showing off Yuri to his sons, Yvonne still manages to make jokes.Yvonne: Sooooo....what have I missed?
Serenity: You missed a lot! There was —
Yvonne: I missed A Lot?! Oh my gosh, what did they look like? Did they do something to their hair? Did they get a nose job? Did they —
Ruri: Oh for the love of Heartland will you just SHUT UP?!!!! - Yvonne and Yusho vs Yuya and Zarc. Ham-to-Ham Combat and Snark-to-Snark Combat galore.
- Before the duel even starts, Yvonne notices something is off. And that's she — dressed as Caiha — looks remarkably different from Yusho, Yuya and Zarc dressed as Ringmasters.
Yvonne: Why are you guys not commenting as to how I stick out like a bloody finger found in a crayon box? I mean, why don’t I get to wear a snazzy top hat and look like a ringmaster of a decadent circus?- When Yuya begins to recite a poem (his version of Dr. Seuss' "If I Ran The Circus"), Kaiba is the one who complains about it.
Kaiba: Dr. Seuss? Really?! I want something dark and scary not Seussical the Musical!- Which becomes a Brick Joke when Yuya plays the Paraphernalia Wagon which is Dr. Seuss but dark and scary.
- When Yvonne sees Yuya Pendulum Summon his monsters, one of them — Nightmare Mirror Daredevil — looks like Yoko Sakaki.
Yvonne: Well...I finally know who wears the pants in your relationship, Yusho.- Yvonne suggests that they should "Aim for the head" when it comes to fighting their opponents.
Yvonne: This is a test of strength and your will to survive. And if you give up now, they’re gonna eat you alive.
Yusho: Then how do you suggest we stop them?
Yvonne: (pulls out her stiletto) I suggest that with a loaded gun and a steady hand, we just might live through this.- Yusho summons Performapal Changeraffe...and Yvonne realizes something very important.
Yvonne: You have PENDULUM MONSTERS?! WHY DO THE BOYS GET ALL THE SHINY TOYS?! Oooh...I want Pendulum monsters too, you know!- In the midst of the epic duel, Yvonne has to go somewhere called "The Euphemism" which is a Shout-Out to Halloween Is Grinch Night.note
Yvonne: Hey Yusho! Keep those two busy until I get back.
Yusho: Where in the name of Fantoccini are you going?!
Yvonne: (about to enter a large purple tent) I gotta go to The Euphemism!
Yuya: The Euphemism?! NO ONE goes to The Euphemism on a night like this!
Yvonne: But I gotta!- When Yvonne uses the graveyard effect of Shaddoll Dragon (that lets her destroy a Spell Card), Yvonne uses it to destroy Nightmare Mirror Circus Daredevil (as it's in the Pendulum zone). Three words: Yoko mogu mogu.
- And while Sora and Yuzu are screaming in terror, May and Dawn remarks how Yvonne has never done anything like that before.
- When Yusho shows off his new Xyz monsters — Performapal Knightwolfe and Performapal Ladyhawke — Yuya asks him to tell the story about these monsters. Yusho essentially summarizes the inspiration behind them that causes the audience to "Awww..." in response. Yuya then clarifies the story as to how Yusho got Xyz cards.
- Yvonne and Yusho make a run for it to the Funhouse with Yuya and Zarc on the back of Nightmare Mirror Pendulum Dragon.Yuya: ONWARDS, AOSHIMA!
(cue said dragon rushing through the door of said Funhouse)
14.5th Show: Full House
- When Yusho gets thrown out of the Fun House by Yuya, Yvonne starts shaking him awake, asking him to say something meaningful "or at least something from Ray Bradbury!"Yusho: I sing the body electric....
- Which becomes a Brick Joke after Yvonne falls off of the carousel.
Yusho: Yvonne! Say something from Ray Bradbury!
Yvonne: (a bit delirious) Ahhh Yusho, I have an idea! (giggles) Let's all kill Constance!
