• Author's Saving Throw: By the author's own admission, she made Yvonne near close to unlikable and has significantly planned to tone down most of her remarks in the story. For example in 4th Show, instead of telling Yusho that he's "too soft" about how he clearly did not things through, she is shown to find no joy on making him feel any worse than he already is. This also helps to foreshadow Yvonne's feelings for Yusho and the regret she has for having to kill him.
• Meaningful Release Date:
  • 14th Show and 14.5th Show were released just three days shy of the author's birthday (Sept. 7). A year later so were 18th Show and 18.5th Show.
  • 15th Show was uploaded on the anniversary of the story (December 12th)
• Schedule Slip: The gap between 15th Show and 16th Show was about six months, due to the author being busy with online classes, the corona virus outbreak and getting a job in business.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Comments on AO3 for the eleventh chapter reveals that Max was originally going to end the duel by using Toon Ancient Gear Golem to attack directly, but the author couldn't implement that well.
  • 14th Show originally had the plan to not have an epic duel and end with Yuzu sending Yusho and Yuri to Maiami City. However, this would lead to a repetitive Part 2, not to mention the author realizing that Yuya didn't duel yet, so she decided to have the tag team duel instead.
  • For the 14.5th chapter, the plan for Yusho to be the Dark Signer of the Condor was to be implemented for Part 2, but the author thought that it would be dragged on and decided to place it in Part 1.
  • For 7th chapter, Ayu's death was via a knife to the throat with the implications it was because the Obelisk Force soldier killing her was traumatized by Yvonne's killing. Instead the author rewrote it so that Ayu challenges the Obelisk Force soldier to a duel to protect Celina and dies when their Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Dog rips out her throat to show that even without Yvonne, Obelisk Force are still horrible people. This was added to give Ayu more characterization — in that she will do her best to protect others and how she sees Celina as a friend even if she doesn't know her personally — and also help Celina grow as a character as she starts realizing that her image of Academia is heavily warped.
• Write What You Know: Mallow's mentioning of different types of Burmese dishes (and being Burmese) is based on Green_Phantom_Queen herself (Who is half-Burmese) currently staying in Myanmar.
