  • After the party at Wallach's mansion dies down and Manny goes to talk to an executive about maybe getting an opportunity to work on a movie set, Jack can be seen in the background drunkenly stumbling towards the bar to get more alcohol.
  • As Nellie arrives to her first film set, a few protesters are seen at the filming set. And then there’s a man who is just holding a sign saying “Hire me!”
  • The chaos on the set itself results in several, as everybody struggles to balance clashing egos, equipment problems, and disgruntled extras.
    • After Jack drives Manny to his film set, they have a brief conversation, while a random guy is rolling down the hill. Jack and Manny don’t even acknowledge the guy rolling down.
    • Later on the same movie set, Jack and some executives are talking, completely ignoring that Manny is currently being chased by hundreds of very riled-up extras threatening to do harm to him, with them seemingly not even noticing the commotion despite it causing quite a bit of noise.
      • Manny even borrows a gun and rides on a horse to threaten the extras to get to work. Jack and George stare at Manny riding around while Jack remarks “Manuel’s great!”
    • In a moment of frustration, director Ruth Adler asks a random extra for his name and, upon being told, fires him on the spot. Her assistant director immediately yells at the guy to get off the set.
    • When filming a take on her first movie, Nellie flashes her breast to one of the male extras, who becomes visibly aroused, forcing Ruth to cut because "man number three, I can see your erection", and Max hastily tells him to tuck it up. There's also the Running Gag of Ruth literally shoving random extras aside when she has to go on the set to talk to Nellie.
    • As the cast and crew wait for Manny to return with the replacement cameras, Elinor St. John awkwardly tries to make conversation with an extra by asking if he's married. He bluntly replies his wife is dead.
    • When Manny is able to get to the camera rental store and asks for a camera, he's told that they're all rented out but one will be available in half an hour. Smash to a title card saying "one hour later" and it's revealed that Manny is still waiting in the store. He then has to wait yet another half-hour for one.
    • When they're having an argument on set, Constance pulls out a dildo and accuses Nellie of putting it in her dressing room, to which Nellie claims that she doesn't even know what it is.
  • During a party, Don talks about Nellie to a bunch of other executives and praises her. One of them asks if they can meet her, and Don turns around to see Nellie humping an ice sculpture of a unicorn.
Don: Yeah, she's the one having sex with the ice sculpture. [Beat] We're all very fond of her.
  • Jack's second onscreen wife is a Hungarian woman who doesn't speak any English, and she gets into a very nasty tirade at him in Hungarian, which he doesn't understand because he doesn't speak the language. He simply ignores her and instead casually talks to his friends about the advent of sound pictures while she's screaming at him and breaking several of his things. All the while, Manny is frantically flipping through a translation book and trying to figure out what she's saying.
Jack: Manuel, what's she saying? I got him learning Hungarian 'cause he's good with languages.
Manny: Something about "getting fucked by a wheelbarrow of monkeys".
  • As Nellie LaRoy and the production crew slowly lose their minds filming the sound picture, Nellie asks The Count to give her a red pill, while The Count tells her to call him ''The'' Count, not just Count.
Nellie: I need a red one.
The Count: Yeah, yeah. “The” Count, it’s just “The” Count. Just next time say “The Count.”
Nellie: Now’s not really ”The” fucking time.
  • In a very dark moment, there's Manny's prolonged Oh, Crap! moment when he realizes the money The Count brought to pay off McKay is prop money. In particular, there's the moment when he gets panicked enough to get up out of his chair and start cursing in Spanish when he realizes the prop master The Count got the money from literally made the money.
