    Fridge Brilliance
  • If Tempest is any indication of what a 3rd tier elemental form is like, it makes sense that BoBoiBoy Timber would be the first one he'd ever try to intentionally acquire. Leaf is his most docile and gentle form, which is the least likely to go berserk and rampage.
    • It's proven true when Rimba (Leaf's third form) ends up being a powerful yet stable and controllable form compared to Tempest, Nova or Blizzard.
  • Fang's choice to be a school student during his mission to find the power bands in the original series makes more sense after we see his past in the comics. After being separated from his parents at his home planet, Fang no longer has a normal childhood since he follows his brother to be trained as a soldier and protector of Power Spheres. Therefore, when Fang does his first mission on Earth, he takes advantage of it to try have a normal life like many children his age.
  • BoBoiBoy Gentar can use mechanical weapons and powers. Why? Quake is derived from earth, which consists of minerals like iron, copper and other metals, and Thunderstorm, which is electricity. Combined, they have the components needed to make machines!
  • Kaizo's statement in Season 3 of the original series that BoBoiBoy is incapable of having the Elemental Powers actually has a point after we see seven previous users of his powers in the Galaxy series. Some of them are warriors (Satriantar and Hang Kasa), tribe chiefs (Pyrapi dan Mawais), leaders of their home planets (Kuputeri and Balakung) and a Supervillain (Retak'ka). Their backgrounds are heavily involved with battlefield and military while BoBoiBoy and his friends are still school students at the time and have no ties with military and battlefield. Therefore they lack experience or knowledge about their powers and potential.
  • The surviving forms in the second movie are symbolic and not just random. Everyone was awakened to avenge their loved ones who got hurt. Quake was unlocked when Adu Du continued to beat down BoBoiBoy's already defeated friends, Blaze and Ice were unlocked after Ochobot's destruction.
  • Another reason why Fusion is stronger than Splitting besides the fact it combines power: BoBoiBoy splits into 2 forms rather than 3, 5 or 7. Dividing something by a smaller number results in a larger quantity per form.
  • Retak'ka isn't harmed in any way by Solar's attack per se, only showing pain due to being pinned to the wall of T.A.P.O.P.S. station. This is because powerful solar flares, which happen to be part of the Solar Eclipse Beam, carry gamma radiation, and Retak'ka is the original owner of the Gamma element, the third-tier form of Light.
  • The reason why Thunderstorm's appearance in Season 1 of Galaxy is similar to his younger self is because it represents that he was "too early" and "not ready" to be reacquired back then which results in him becoming unstable since BoBoiBoy needs to re-unlock Water and Light (Solar's base stage form). This is why BoBoiBoy has no problem unlocking Solar in the last episode of season 1 since he already got back all the base forms of his elemental powers. Thunderstorm's new appearance in Movie 2 and Galaxy Season 2 represents him becoming more stable and controllable.
  • When Blaze and Ice attempt to transform into Nova and Blizzard, their hairstyles are similar to Retak'ka's. Judging from the situation of their transformation, it's symbolic of how they almost end up becoming like Retak'ka since they try to achieve their 3rd tier forms not because they want to save someone, like how Cyclone transforms into Tempest, but because of desperation to prove their power. This is similar to how Retak'ka fought against all six original elemental masters to prove himself superior to them before he could take their powers.
  • The less-serious and chaotic elemental forms like Blaze, Cyclone, and Thorn are only involved in 1 fusion form so far. The calm and serious like Thunderstorm, Quake, and Ice have 2 fusion forms. Solar, being the strongest one, has 3 fusion forms.
  • In Issue 6, it makes perfect sense that BoBoiBoy didn't summon Cyclone and Solar during the cooking competition. Cyclone is not only a bit chaotic, but his element (wind) could cause the stove to catch fire. It will be dangerous if he recklessly helps Blaze to put out the fire in the stove. Meanwhile, Solar has no power that can help them with cooking as he only functions effectively in battle.
  • The hat placement of BoBoiBoy actually has some meaning to it.
    • Forms like Quake, and Thunder wear their hat symmetrically forward or backward and are his most powerful practical forms that don't go berserk.
    • Cyclone is one of the weakest forms with high utility and wears his hat the most sideways.
    • Leaf and Solar's have theirs backward and forward but offset slightly to their left which shows they are strong but have a downside: Leaf is more niche while Solar is too specialized in offense.
    • Ice and Blaze have their hats facing symmetrically forward which is in line with their status as more powerful than the original three, but are worn with the brim too high up or too faced down to show more instability than the others.
    • Fusion forms also follow this principle. Most powerful and practical, symmetrical and even: Gentar and Sopan. Powerful but with tradeoffs, offset placement: FrostFire's more offense but less of Ice's defense, Sori's more offense but less of Thorn's utility, Glacier's defensive aspects of both Ice and Quake and are slow like both. Most powerful but unstable, symmetrical but a bit higher (it shows his hair more): Supra.
  • The BoBoiBoy Wiki speculates Supra's element may be lasers. This actually has some evidence as LASER stands for Light Amplified by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, and Solar (evolved from Light) is one of his components. Stimulated Emission of Radiation in layman's terms can also refer to electricity, which is obtained from Thunderstorm.
  • BoBoiBoy Tempest's eyes glow white when Tempest loses control of his powers, which symbolizes instability and incontinence. This is how his true eye colors were revealed in Issue 22. When he gets traumatized by his past experiences, his eyes revert to white, showing instability.
  • Hang Kasa tells BoBoiBoy in Issue 22 that the key to make Elemental Powers users stable while using the 3rd is to remember their core reason why they obtain its powers. Five of sevens past Elemental Masters are leaders of their home planets, so their reason is to protect their home planets from any threats. While Hang Kasa and Retak'ka are to defend themselves from the threats. Despite the hardship they faced during their harsh childhood, we can see that Hang Kasa remains a sweet kid but Retak'ka is shown to be quite bitter and grumpy because he hates being abused and weak. This results in Retak'ka slowly being twisted by his own power and fear, becoming a power-hungry monster and betraying Hang Kasa. Then why BoBoiBoy still unable to control Tempest despite he has noble reason ? Because he still young teenager and Hang Kasa also stated he also ever experience the same thing when he still a young teenager during obtaining Crystal form.
    • Aside from the users responsibility of having Elemental Powers as the key of controlling 3rd tier forms, age could be also the main factor of it. Despite have noble reason to protect Earth and anyone from the threat, BoBoiBoy is 14 years old teenager who still has no idea how to overcome his fear and trauma. Kira'na is young-adult woman, while didn't suffer Mind Rape due being out-of-control like BoBoiBoy and Hang Kasa, she clearly undergoes Sanity Slippage due to her stress and desire of revenge on TAPOPS for failing save her home planet.
  • The reason why 3rd tier form are difficult to be mastered because 3rd tier from are personification of natural disaster. Sure the base and 2nd tier also have this too like how Fire in Galaxy season 1 where he almost destroying Volcania due to his rage, but 3rd tier form are entered on this territory since the power can caused a huge destruction around them compare to the previous form.
  • Why does BoBoiBoy often use Fusion Form rather than 3rd-tier form despite having Tempest and almost Nova and Blizzard? Because Fusion Forms can create new Elemental Powers by combining two different Element and relying on BoBoiBoy energy. Meanwhile, 3rd tier forms awaken by absorbing a huge scale of the Elemental power around them, which might not always be accessible.
  • Fire/Blaze has different scale of body temperature depend on their forms. OG!Fire and Galaxy!Fire have different scale of immunity to fire due to their age. This why OG!Fire still unable to stay for long at BoBoiBot Fire's gigantic fireball attack since he still lacking a control of his Fire power. While Galaxy!Fire and Blaze has no problem to put his bare hand on hot pot or standing near Lava pit at Volcania and Baraju as a symbolize that BoBoiBoy able to control it while he on full rage mode.
  • Fang has power of Shadow Manipulation is fitting with his status as The Lancer and The Rival of BoBoiBoy who has power of manipulating light. Light/Solar also bit a overconfident and wear visor just like Fang. Their dynamic are friendly version of Light/Darkness Juxtaposition.
  • Start in Galaxy series, Fire/Blaze wears 3/4 legging despite already wears a short is a reference of Islam about "covering awrah(intimate parts)". Since Male awrah are knee and navel, they must not wear a short above their knee when they already reach puberty.
  • BoBoiBoy rename Timber/Darkwood form as "Rimba" is not without any reason. Timber was name of 3rd form of King Balakung while Darkwood was Retak'ka's 3rd tier name. Retak'ka always use Darkwood Form to fight and attempted to kill him. Since Kira'na constantly thinks that he will ended same fate with Retak'ka due to have seven Elemental Powers, BoBoiBoy decide to rename Leaf/Thorn's 3rd tier form as a symbolize that he prove to her and everyone that he will never become like his evil predecessor. Not naming it Timber also means this power is now his own.
  • Knowing current Maskmana identity is Pian all along, it make a sense why he calling-out Amato's decision for not helping his own son facing Retak'ka. The other higher-ups definitely still putting their trust over BoBoiBoy's ability despite the difficulties that he faced. Pian, who already know BoBoiBoy since toddler and is Amato Old Friend, understand why BoBoiBoy still need his help despite gain supernatural power. Pian probably can see how similar BoBoiBoy to his younger-self. Despite both of them have loving parents, stable life and good friends, deep down still lonely over their parents absent due to their specific job.
  • In Original Series and Galaxy season 1, every time when one of Gogobugi Brothers become the main focus, they mostly assisted with BoBoiBoy Thunderstorm. Gur'latan Arc turns out that they are being adopted by Satriantar's Royal Family and Satriantar was previous holder of BoBoiBoy Lightning/Thunderstorm/Voltra power.
  • Why Lightning/Thunderstorm is not leader of Elemental Forms despite being the oldest one ? Because he is represent of BoBoiBoy aggressiveness. Whenever BoBoiBoy start the fight, his first instinct usually use Lightning/Thunderstorm. During in panic situation when Ejo Jo kidnap his classmate, when trio of Original Elemental Form discuss the plan, Thunderstorm simply said to Quake and Cyclone that they just need to keep attack Ejo Jo and his battle robot without thinking potentially would be outmatched by the villain again. When fight against Roktaroka, Lightning didn't think that rock can't beat by lightning which resulted on him along with Wind and Leaf getting humiliated by his opponent. These are proof why Lightning/Thunderstorm is less effective act as leader.
  • Since Kira'na also work with Reramos and in fact Reramos is still alive but imprisoned, there is possibility that she already know that BoBoiBoy already gain Tempest but he can't control it from him. In Original Season, we can see that when Cyclone provoke Thunderstorm that he can outmatched him with his newfound power. Knowing that wind can beat lightning, Kira'na provoke BoBoiBoy to dampening his spirits to make him fear using Tempest against her by telling him that he will ended like Retak'ka.
  • BoBoiBoy Elemental Forms each have their own respective personality and it's more prominent when all of them split into 2 or 7 forms. Additionally, Elemental Forms become a lot stronger and more dangerous when they start to suffer temporary amnesia because they no longer restrain BoBoiBoy's memory and consciousness to use the power carefully.

    Fridge Horror
  • 3rd tier form of Elemental Powers proved to be not only powerful but also dangerous as Retak'ka demonstrates when he uses them during the second film. The jagged logos for these forms also speak volumes about their dark natures. Hang Kasa and Kuputeri warn BoBoiBoy to not excessively use the scale of 3rd tier power or the user will either lose control of it or become power-hungry like Retak'ka. Issue 14 of Galaxy Season 2 then introduces BoBoiBoy Tempest, with him almost getting Drunk with Power due to the greater scale of the power he uses. Unlike Cyclone, Tempest's introduction is purely terrifying and he proves to be way stronger than Retak'ka Tempest and Kuputeri to the point that BoBoiBoy gets mind raped because he lost control. If BoBoiBoy Tempest's debut was this scary, imagine how terrifying BoBoiBoy unlocking Voltra Power (3rd tier form of BoBoiBoy Lightning/Thunderstorm form) will be, since Lightning/Thunderstorm is the angriest one?
    • Fire/Blaze is the most wrathful elemental form, even more than Thunderstorm. His debut in both the original and Galaxy series proved how dangerous he can be when provoked or under stress, like BoBoiBoy was to the point that he could've destroyed Volcania had he not been calmed down by Admiral Tarung. If Tempest's debut is that scary because BoBoiBoy unlocks this form at his lowest and critical condition, what will happen to Blaze if he got 3rd tier form under bad circumstances?
      • Issue 20 shows that an amnesic Blaze almost successfully transforms into Nova when he fights Ice, who also suffers from memory loss and almost transforms into Blizzard due to being split up for two days. Under the stress of the situation and the desperation to prove themselves stronger, the way they transform is really terrifying.
  • Using Elemental Split too long will cause BoBoiBoy's memory to deteriorate, and his elemental forms have fought over which of them is the "real" BoBoiBoy before. If the bad guys aside Adu Du and his minion know this, it is possible that other bad guys who are more dangerous than Adu Du will take advantage of this weakness by provoking each elemental form to kill each other, which would effectively will kill BoBoiBoy.
  • When being controlled by Katakululu, Gopal shows that his transmutation power can also turn objects into rotten fruits and dead bugs. Does that mean Gopal's power can also decompose the object around him?
    • Earlier in the episode, Gopal reiterates that he can't use his ability on living things. However, while hypnotized by Katakululu, he's able to turn Leaf's vine into a dead snake. He can turn a robot's body into any material and change fresh plants into dead animals, so it might be possible that the only things Gopal can't change the molecular structure of are sentient beings. Because plants and robots' bodies aren't sentient, Gopal can change them into something else. This is proven when he tries to turn Copy-and-Paste bot into pancakes in Episode 19, only to hit the real BoBoiBoy instead, cancelling the whole attack (and enraging his best pal).
  • How can a evil person like Reramos able to take over Windara during Kuputeri recovery instead of the other member of Windara Royal Family aside her ? Were all of them killed by him and 5 Generals ?
  • In Baraju, BoBoiBoy mention when Blaze and Ice suffers amnesia for separating almost two days, the two not only slowly forget their allies name and mission, but also start to act like how Pyrapi and Mawais when they were alive 100 years ago. Unlike what already happens to "Original Element trio" in Original season, this because he was in Baraju and its environment slowly trigger the past user memories. Unlike the incident in past, this event cause BoBoiBoy traumatized not only because he almost killing everyone, he almost losing himself and ''aware'' this but unable to control or stop his Elemental Form rampage.

    Fridge Logic
  • Fang doesn't seem to recognise Bora Ra in the first film despite that the latter attacked him and his family years ago. Although not all toddlers exactly remember their traumatic experience, they will be affected by it when they grow up. If they could remember, the traumatic experience must have directly happened to them. Fang may not remember about Bora Ra being responsible for his parents' disappearance but he should still remember Kaizo accidentally injuring with with his unstable power in the past because it directly happened to him. In fact, Maskamana advises Kaizo to make Fang forget about his trauma by leading him into a new life.
  • Light doesn't pierce through metal, but Vargoba starts feeling the heat after being hit by the Solar Eclipse Beam attack. This is because the attack is directly derived from solar energy, which contains gamma particles. Gamma particles can pierce through anything, needing several slabs of concrete to stop it. While the metal is thick enough to at least partially block the attack, it's not enough to completely shield Vargoba from the impact.
    • When Vargoba reflects the attack, it tears a hole through T.A.P.O.P.S. station, hitting all of the pirate ships in its trajectory and blowing them up.
    • The upgraded version of the said attack, the Amplified Solar Eclipse Beam, actually completely dismantles Vargoba's weapons, because the temperature of the attack is enough to melt metal. So even if Vargoba were to protect himself using thick metal, they'll melt too because the attack is too hot even for the toughest metal.

    Fridge Sadness
  • Pyrapi, Mawais and Satriantar are the previous elemental users with confirmed descendants since the current Bara and Salju tribes along with Gur'latan are lead by their respective grandchildrens. This means that their children also witness their Parents' tragic deaths by Retak'ka 100 years ago. It is possible that Yanaari and Gardu also witness their death too when they were still young children 100 years ago because they recognize Blaze and Ice as their poses resemble that of their grandfathers when they were about to use the power of Nova and Blizzard.
  • The interactions between elemental forms come across more like real brothers rather than "my other self" unlike some cases of Literal Split Personality tropes. Since BoBoiBoy has no siblings and there is no mention if he has extended family like cousins, it could be that he wanted a sibling so much that he treats the elemental forms like his own siblings. Made even sadder when Retak'ka absorb the elemental forms (except Fire/Blaze, Water/Ice, and Earth/Quake) and resulting in them fading away, Quake looks like he's a grieving older brother forced to witness his younger brothers "killed" by bad guys.
    • In Issue 23, once again BoBoiBoy lose Lightning/Thunderstorm due to being absorbed by Kira'na's sword. BoBoiBoy grieving expression over him pretty much looks like he grieving over losing someone instead of losing his power. This is another prove that BoBoiBoy never treat his Elemental Form as mere power of "his other self", but as his "sibling".
  • BoBoiBoy's sympathy toward Panto and Invibot is not only because he feels bad to see them not wanting to be separated, it also reminds him of his separation with his parents due to their jobs. No matter how independent and happy he is with his current life, BoBoiBoy still misses his parents and wants them to return.
  • Maskmana makes a good point when he tells Kaizo to make sure Fang doesn't know about their parents' condition after Tengkotak raids and offers to let Kaizo become his apprentice to control his power. As Kaizo's powers are tied to his emotions, he's taught to control them, and he still needs to watch himself in the present day. If Fang knew that Bora Ra's responsible for killing his parents, he would grow up into a person desiring revenge on Bora Ra and refuse to have a normal life like most children.
  • BoBoiBoy mistakes another elderly man as Tok Aba, his own grandfather, in episode 1 of the original series. Although it is Played for Laughs, this single scene is the first of many to suggest how distant the family is due to their occupations making it difficult for them to visit him, even during holidays like Eid. If they do visit him often enough, BoBoiBoy should be able to recognize how his own granddad looks like.
  • BoBoiBoy's Chronic Hero Syndrome side doesn't come from his arrogance of having much power compare to his comrades. It was caused by the Amato's influence, which gave too much independence of his own son. Sure, it's good to see parents give trust for their children to be more independent to find their own interest, but Amato gave too much independence to his own son to the point he chose not to help him defeat the villain who is more competent than him without knowing how many times BoBoiBoy constantly almost lost his own life during a fight or mission because his mindset was to not always depend on his own friend.
