  • Both BoBoiBoy and Fang suffer from Parental Abandonment. It's made even sadder when it's shown that they used to have perfect lives when their parents were still around:
    • BoBoiBoy's parents are still alive. However, their statuses and jobs as ambassadors, TAPOPS higher-ups and galatic superheroes result in them often leaving their son and having a difficult time reuniting with him. It seems they can only send a postcard to let him know that they are fine and will return as soon as their mission is over. Since Amato and his wife left Earth while BoBoiBoy was still around 10 years old, this means that they are completely absent for 4 years. Luckily, BoBoiBoy still has Granddad and is happy with his new life on Rintis Island.
    • Extra Comic "BoBoiBoy Galaxy Comic Issue #7" show Fang and Kaizo's past. Fang was separated from his parents when he was still a toddler and the brothers were forced to leave their home planet in order to save their family power sphere, Enerbot. What's worse is that we don't know what happened to his parents after they were attacked by Bora Ra. Given that Maskmana wants Kaizo and Fang to forget about what happened to their parents and make sure Fang has a new life after the tragedy, it's not a good signal about their ultimate fate.
Maskmana: Kaizo, listen. Keep this ordeal from your brother. He is still just a child. Let him forget what happened about your parents... and rebuild his life anew!
    • Despite both BoBoiBoy and Fang being happy with their new lives and becoming more independent in their teenage years, they sometimes do show their sadness over missing their parents.
  • Doubled as Nightmare Fuel in Probe's Taking the Bullet moment, where he stands in the way of an attack to save his boss. It's not only sad because it proves Probe's loyalty which causes Adu Du massive Villainous BSoD, but this scene is very unsettling for kids by showing a character being beaten and killed on screen to protect their loved one in such a brutal way that even the student bystanders and Team BoBoiBoy are terrified and in tears as well at the sight.
  • Tok Aba may be a jolly old man, but at this point in his life he is incredibly lonely. His loving wife has passed away which still hurts him and his only son is off in space. The last of his family, BoBoiBoy, has also followed in his father's footsteps and becomes an intergalactic superhero which leaves him occupied and busy in a far away galaxy. Due to the nature of BoBoiBoy's duties, he may even be unable to visit him on important holidays like Eid (like in the 2019 Eid special, where the boy is thrust into a mission just as he's on his way home to Earth). In the 2022 Eid special, Tok Aba even hopes to reunite with his wife someday, which means he's likely wanting to die of old age. While he does spend time with his friends and family, the holiday videos made by Monsta imply that he only ever gets to see them yearly and with his old age, his celebrations with them are limited.
  • Kira'na betraying Kaizo and the revelation of her as the Final Boss of Galaxy Season 2, especially if we see it from Kaizo's perspective. Imagine witnessing your foster sister betray you, blaming you for being late to save her or her family, then the situation getting worse when she attacks and captures your own brother and finally sees him standing along side her as she declares war to maintain so-called "peace of the entire galaxy". It's very painful to watch.
  • While it does not excuse her villainous action, it's not hard to feel sorry for Kira'na after knowing what happened to her father (Commander Kul'dar) during Retak'ka's rampages on Gur'latan. What's even sadder is the fact that both Kaizo and Fang see her and her father like their own family - and once again, the brothers lose someone who already became their father-figure.
  • "Temani Raya", another special Eid Animation show what happened to Pian, Amato Best Friend. Pian clearly unable to hide his sadness over his parents disappearance's. He always absent during visiting his friends house during Eid due to getting consumed in his project to build Spaceship to honor his father. Amato, who understand about losing the parents since his mother also passed away before BoBoiBoy's birth, give Pian a hug to comfort him and help to finish the Spaceship.
