There's a surprisingly large amount of foreshadowing in the channel's Minecraft Hardcore series, especially for something unscripted. Examples are listed here. WARNING: All spoilers below are unmarked!

Minecraft Season 1

  • The intro shows each player with some sort of tool (Max has a pickaxe, Rhino has a hoe, Silver has a sword, Dan has an axe, and Jero has a bow) or something associated with them (Peter has redstone and Jerry has potions). Tim, however, has an Ender Pearl, which seems out of place. He ends up dying via Enderman.
  • When Jero, Max, and Silver head off to explore shortly after Tim's death, Jero comments that he has a bet on who dies next. He remarks that it isn't one of the other two, then adds that he might be lying. While neither are the next to die, Max and Silver both die before the series ends.
  • Peter mentions knowing how to kill Creepers, but every time we see him fight one, he has backup. The one time he doesn't, it kills him.
    • Earlier on, before Tim died, while exploring with Silver, he comments how Peter's the kind of guy the group can't afford to lose. After Tim died, Peter was the next to go.
    • Even his last works count as Five-Second Foreshadowing - moments before he dies, he cautiously remarks how there are still Creepers around.
  • At Peter's grave, Max gets attacked by a Creeper and doesn't notice until right before its explosion, barely managing to back away in time. Guess what incident gets repeated many episodes later, with a more fatal result?
    • Episode During the funeral, Peter's ghost curses Max so Creepers are attracted to him... apparently the curse was real.
    • Back in the very first episode, while grabbing some cobblestone, Max half-jokingly predicts he'll end up dying right away by digging into a cave and getting blown up by a Creeper. Many episodes later, this is exactly how he dies (though Rhino's the one who opens the cave).
  • When Silver and Jero head off in episode 14, Silver remarks, in reference to the deaths that have happened so far, "That's what happens when you're reckless" before adding that he expects karma to bite him for that. He ends up dying in the Nether by making an unsafe cobblestone structure straight up to get some glowstone, and is knocked off by a Ghast, in a brief and uncharacteristic moment of recklessness.
  • When the call splits in episode 11, Rhino goes to the bathroom; when he comes back, he asks Jerry if anyone died. Jerry snarks that everyone died and they're the only two left. Later on, this becomes almost true - Max and Silver die, leaving only Rhino, Jerry, and Jero.
    • Referring to going to the Nether, Max suggests only sending in a three-man team, "assuming there aren't only three left by then anyway". He dies before they build the portal and Silver dies mere minutes into the Nether, leaving only a three-man team to explore.
  • Max remarks at one point that the reason Rhino and Jerry haven't died yet is because they've been doing the safe work by just hanging around the house, something they continue to do. Both make it to the final three.

Minecraft Season 2

  • Endorb's death:
    • In the first episode, when Tim asks for bets on who will die first, Endorb jokingly mentions he will die first as he was brought in to replace Dan. This is followed immediately by Rhino saying he also bet Endorb would die first, though his reasoning is talked over.
    • In episode 4, Endorb says "I'll never live it down if I die first".
    • When Rhino, Tim, and Endorb head into the Nether, Max remarks how he's surprised nobody's died yet. Jero accuses him of jinxing, and Max switches to deliberately Tempting Fate by declaring he's surprised nobody on the Nether exploration team have died yet (followed by saying he's surprised Tim has not fallen into lava). Endorb dies less than three minutes later. (This is more surprising to them than to the viewers, since we saw Endorb's death from the Nether team's perspective before we saw the other four chatting.)
    • Endorb declares himself "the new Dan" (due to him being called upon to fill the missing Dan's slot). Dan died first in season one, and then in season two, Endorb dies first. Both also died in the middle of combat despite the presence of others as backup.
    • in episode 8 Endorb volunteers to go into the nether saying "time to do something! Dies immediately". It wasn't immediate but he did indeed die in there
  • Rhino's death:
    • When the next Nether trip has Max, Tim, and Rhino, the former two idly wonder who's going to die next, and jokingly call out 'not it', leading Tim to inform Rhino that he's 'it' to die next. He was right.
    • Episode 13 ends with a cliffhanger revealing that someone in the next episode will die to a Zombie Pigman. During a clustered scuffle, Rhino tricks a skeleton into shooting a Zombie Pigman, not realizing this makes the pigman aggro on players as well. However, it takes a while for any of them to be attacked. And Rhino is the first target...
  • Max's death:
    • In episode 6, Max says "Imagine if you smacked someone with a pickaxe and it killed them", and Tim comments "It would be pretty sad if friendly fire killed someone", to which Max replies "There's a reason I turned it on, specifically so we have to be careful". Max ends up dying to friendly fire
    • In episode 28 Max shows Jerry where his banner so "now you know where it is when I die"

Minecraft Season 3

  • Max's death:
    • Episode 8 ends with Dan yelling "No!" as the footage cuts to and from a flash forward to a player approaching an unmarked grave. During the cutting, Max's face on the overlay is not removed, despite everything else being removed. In the comments, Max confirmed it to be an editing error, yet he was the one who died.
    • This death was actally foreshadowed all the way back in season 2, episode 21 where Max mentions making a "sacrafice play" of running into a blaze spawner to destroy it, but gets dissuaded by his teammates.
  • Dan's death:
    • In the thumbnail for episode 11 where Dan dies (titled "oh no"), there is a picture of an enchanting table, which is the item featured in Dan's spot on the credits. These two characteristics combined subtly hint at this death.

Terraria Season 1

  • David's death:
    • When Max asks about who of the three veterans, being Peter, Tim and Rhino, will die first, David jokingly replies that he will die first. Later in that same episode David ends up drowning, being the first death of the series.

Minecraft Season 4

  • Endorb's death:
    • Shortly before the night where Endorb dies, he suggests he and Peter make wills should they die
