Mothers' Instinct is the 2024 remake of the Belgian film Duelles (2018). Celine (Anne Hathaway) and Alice (Jessica Chastain) are close friends and neighbors with sons of the same age, Max and Theo. However, one day, Max and Theo are playing together when they get in an accident. Alice manages to run and save her son, but Max is killed. Celine undergoes Sanity Slippage as a result and befriends Theo, though Alice remains suspicious of Celine's intentions. But is she right to be worried?
