Sally (Ely LaMay) is a girl who's hitchhiking her way to Colorado through the Nevada desert. While she's out there, she comes across a man (John Blythe Barrymore) putting up posters for a missing woman, and accepts the offer to help him with the posters. Then he tasers her and knocks her out.

She comes to while tied up in his basement, and learns that her kidnapper, Slim, is a Serial Killer and organ harvester working for an unseen person on his phone. Now she needs to figure out a way to escape from her captor with her life.

The film was released on December 3rd, 2017.

Hitchhiker Massacre contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Slim chops Woody's hand off when he attacks Woody and Sally at the camp.
  • Bloody Handprint: A couple can be seen on Slim's house from outside.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: When the killer threatens Sally while she's tied to a chair, she pisses herself, which he's perturbed by.
  • By the Hair: The killer, when he has his victim at the start of the movie, pulls her by her hair and ends up taking a good chunk of it out.
  • Disposing of a Body: When Slim is told to dispose of the cheerleader's body, he douses her in gasoline and sets her on fire.
  • Eye Scream: In the first scene of the movie, the killer murders his victim by shoving her eye-first into a sharpened piece of wood. The scene burns away mid-skewer, though.
  • Fan Disservice: After the credits start rolling, we see a naked woman covered in blood running through the building she was being held in.
  • Flipping the Bird: Tom's girlfriend does this to a guy who shouts at her not to hitchhike from his car, not knowing that she's just doing sexy role-playing with her boyfriend.
  • Hand Cannon: Slim owns a revolver.
  • Heartbeat Soundtrack: When the killer has killed the cheerleader on his boss' orders, he pours gasoline on her and lights a match, at which point a heartbeat starts playing as it builds up to him burning her body.
  • Male Gaze: The film has a LOT of shots lingering on girl butts in the first half of the movie.
  • Meat Grinder Surgery: When taking the toddler's mother's organs, Slim cuts her side open with an exact-o knife, pulls the organ out with his bear hands, and then saws it off... in his unsanitary-looking basement.
  • Missing Child: At one point, a news report is made of a toddler being found at a playground with her mother nowhere in sight. That's because Slim kidnapped her mother.
  • Off with His Head!: Slim does this to Tom's girlfriend, storing her severed head in an organ box.
  • Organ Theft: Slim is involved in this line of work at the behest of his unseen boss.
  • P.O.V. Cam: When Sally is running after escaping the killer, we see her P.O.V. for one shot.
  • Shovel Strike: Slim knocks Sally unconscious at the end of the movie with a shovel to the face.
  • Static Stun Gun: Slim has one. He uses it to shock people unconscious so that he can abduct them. It flashes blue when it's used.
  • Stylistic Suck: The film is billed as being modelled after 80s horror films, and recreates the feeling by utilizing the appearance of grainy footage, putting in a "missing reel" message, and having the shot stop and look like it's burning away.
  • Time-Passes Montage: As Sally walks through the desert, we see shots fading into each other of this to show how time's passing.
  • Topless From The Back: In one scene, Sally just got up in the morning and is putting her top on before anyone sees her. Her body is shown from behind as she dresses herself.
  • Wish Upon a Shooting Star: Woody does this when he's out in the desert one night. He wishes for a big cock, his record company back, and a new wife.
