Elodie and Laetitia are a loving couple happily engaged to each other. They decided to have a baby together, and for more income take on a tenant, stage magician Simon. After he and Laetitia sleep together one night when both are drunk though, their relationship becomes strained. Laetitia herself is dangerously threatened as Simon obsessively desires her for himself, no matter what her feelings are.

Not to be confused with the more famous 1983 film of the same name (both are unrelated).

Tropes:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Laetitia sometimes calls her fiancée Elodie "Elo".
  • All Lesbians Want Kids: Elodie is resistant to the idea of having a baby at first when her stepfather Roity encourages her to, though she comes around on the idea. She and her fiancée Laetitia agree they'd like one, but Elodie has a heart condition which makes it very dangerous. Laetitia says she can have the baby, rejecting the idea of adoption as she really wants to experience being pregnant. She later gets pregnant due to a tryst with Simon (she's bisexual), and while they're getting over Laetitia's cheating they decide on keeping it. Tragically, she later loses the baby due to being beaten by Simon after he's coerced Laetitia into being with him.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Laetitia has been freed from Simor after being raped, beaten and having a miscarriage as a result. Her loving fiancée Elodie returns to her, with whom it's implied she can at least start to recover. Simon is under arrest, and will hopefully be imprisoned, unable to hurt her again.
  • Closet Key: Elodie was the first woman Laetitia had been attracted to, saying she had only ever had straight relationships before getting together with her.
  • Domestic Abuse: Laetitia finally submits to Simon's demands that she be with him so his harassment will stop. It naturally includes her having sex with him under this coercion. When she tries to leave him, he beats her, causing a miscarriage and putting her in the hospital.
  • Fanservice Extra: The model in the art class which Laetitia attends is a young, attractive woman whose nude body naturally gets focused on for a time.
  • Get Out!: Elodie angrily orders Laetitia to leave their house after catching her in bed with Simon after they had sex. Then she orders him (Simon's their tenant) out ASAP too. Elodie later relents though on Laetitia, forgiving her.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: Laetitia's parents refuse to have her fiancée Elodie inside their house and are completely unaccepting of the pair's relationship.
  • I Want Grandkids: Elodie's stepfather Roity is very enthusiastic at the idea of her having a child. When her fiancée Laetitia gets pregnant and they decide to raise the baby together, he's overjoyed at being a (step) grandfather.
  • Lipstick Lesbian: Elodie and Laetitia are a couple, while both have long hair but they usually wear average clothing, putting them in chapstick territory. Laetitia is bisexual though.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Elodie and Laetitia are both young, good-looking women. They also have a passionate sex scene together where both are seen topless. In a flashback to their first time, the two are again shown topless having sex. Laetitia also has sex with Simon later, in which she's topless again. They are also seen naked during a flashback Elodie has of them in the bath together.
  • One-Night-Stand Pregnancy: Laetitia gets pregnant from the drunken tryst she had engaged in with Simon, the only time they had sex.
  • Open-Minded Parent: Elodie's stepfather Roity is wholly accepting of her being a lesbian. He even encourages her to have a child with her fiancée Laetitia. She's very grateful for him, as many LGBT+ people (including Laetitia) don't have a straight relative like this supporting them in their lives.
  • Questionable Consent: Laetitia considers her having sex with Simon less than fully consensual, which the viewer may also, given they were both drunk at the time, plus she feels he manipulated her into it as a "test" of her sexuality (she's bisexual but also engaged to a woman).
  • Parental Abandonment: Elodie's mother is dead, and her birth father's not mentioned (but clearly isn't in the picture).
  • Parental Substitute: Elodie's stepfather Roity is a loving dad to her, which is good given her mom's dead and her birth father's not brought up but apparently he's uninvolved in her life.
  • Rape as Drama: Laetitia agrees to leave Elodie and be with Simon only after extreme harassment by him. This includes her submitting while he has sex with her after that coercion.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Simon refuses to take "no" for an answer following him having sex with Laetitia, convinced they're meant to be together. Upon learning she's pregnant with his child, he only intensifies, harassing her until Laetitia submits to a "relationship" with him.
  • Their First Time: Elodie fondly recalls that her first time with Laetitia was the best sex she's ever had. She'd been with other women before, but Laetitia hadn't.
  • Threeway Sex: Discussed when Simon asks if Elodie and Laetitia ever have threesomes. She's contemptuous, saying that's every straight man's fantasy, obviously suspecting he wants one with the two. Laetitia says they don't engage in them. Simon says he'd like one with Laetitia and some women other than Elodie (whom he dislikes). Laetitia shows no interest in this, but does end up having sex with him alone.
  • Tragic Stillbirth: Laetitia loses the baby due to Simon beating her. After this combined trauma, Laetitia goes mute in the hospital until Elodie comes.
  • Two-Person Pool Party: One flasback Elodie has shows her lying beside Laetitia intimately naked and kissing while they're in the bath together, with sex strongly implied though not shown, as a happy memory of their past.
