- Synopsis: Saiko makes a return to the music world, only to find herself dealing with a creepy fan obsessed with her guitar and the lengths he'll go to get his hands on it.
- Comments: Enjoyable little story. The characters are accurate to their canon selves and the OCs don't feel too out-of-place or overtake the originals. The plot works well enough and gives some good time to the characters that normally get background roles in the bloopers.
Fearing Fate -an SMG4 story- By CVGWjames

- Synopsis: As the release date for the final episode of Meta Runner draws near in the SMG4 universe, everyone's talking about the events unfolding... as well as the possibility of Tari potentially dying. Tari herself catches wind of this, and is worried about the possibility of SMG4 killing her off.
- Comments: Of all the stories from this particular fanfic author (and he's written a lot), this is the one that I feel perfectly captures the emotions of the characters and the setting's atmosphere. You really feel bad for Tari as she thinks she's at death's door, the fear makes sense considering the events of the web show itself, and the resolution at the end feels earned. Doesn't hurt that both Tari and SMG4 are completely in-character.
What If: Finishing Unfinished Buisness -Desti Vs Sephiroth- By CVGWjames

- Synopsis: Picking up from where "What if Desti never died?" left off, Desti battles Sephiroth to avenge Meggy.
- Comments: Really intense battle here. If you liked that particular SMG4 video or that particular "what if" scenario, but felt like it deserved a proper ending, this fanfic's for you.

- Synopsis: Some time after Team SplatSquad won the final Splatfest, they go to a convention at Inkopolis called SplatCon, where they meet some fans of their competition, the famous Oneshot Wren, and even Meggy's old team.
- Comments: For this author's first fanfic, it ain't half bad. Not a lot of action going on here—which is to be expected from Slice of Life stories—but the characters interacting with each other in his way is pretty neat to read, and it was nice to see Meggy's old team.

- Comments: This fanfic feels like what the official SMG4 team was going for before you-know-who came and ruined everything. Not only that, but Desti taking her defeat in stride retroactively makes sense considering her later Character Development.

- Synopsis: A Car Chase that takes place during the Lawsuit Arc between "If Mario Was In... Splatoon 3" and "Breaking Luigi" as Lawyer Kong pursues SMG4, Mario, Meggy, and a still-canonized Luigi in order to get Nintendo's star back.
- Comments: Pretty intense chase, all things considered. It should be noted that this story was written before "Breaking Luigi", where Luigi was cured by memes at the very start, and since James still wanted the story to take place between the two canonical Lawsuit Arc episodes, he rewrote it with an excuse that disallows Luigi to be cured just yet.

- Comments: Mario and Peach go to the beach; things go horribly wrong and utterly madcap insanity ensues. It feels a lot like a classic SMG4 episode while still featuring certain elements from the modern era; I dare say it feels more like a classic episode than SMG4 himself's latest works.

- Comments: Even though this video was made long before we got the official "If Mario was in... Splatoon 2", it still holds up pretty well with its humor and visuals. I wish Luigi's subplot was explored more, though...

- Synopsis: After the Revelations Arc, Mario and his friends return to their normal life. However, Mario soon comes face to face with his worst nightmare: the world's spaghetti is undergoing a shortage. Desperate to find some of his favorite snack, he only ends up stumbling onto the true culprits behind the disappearance of the spaghetti: The reformed Box Club, now calling themselves the Order of the God Box.
- Comments: This is a fan series that started off as a more theorycrafting style of video, where the creator explained his ideas for a sequel to the Cosmology Saga based on loose ends. It slowly evolved overtime into a surprisingly entertaining series that is animated in a way that wouldn't be out of place with the actual SMG4's series. In a number of people's eyes, it is actually better than some of their recent stories, due to using the cast more evenly and allowing some severely underused characters more focus after being forgotten for years.
