Raphael gets a message from Professor Honeycutt and learns something startling; Mona Lisa has given birth to his daughter. Now the father of his hybrid daughter Irrilia, Raphael must introduce her to the family, protect her from any evil that seeks to harm her and grow as a person.

This fanfic provides examples of:
- Babies Make Everything Better: As soon as everyone gets over the shock that Raphael is now father of an alien hybrid, everyone adapts to her presence very quickly. They baby proof the lair, Casey and April become her surrogate aunt and uncle and they are all able to adapt to her Bizarre Alien Biology.
- Bizarre Alien Biology: Being a humanoid turtle-mutant/Salamandarian hybrid, it is no surprise that that Irrilia's development is unpredictable. Despite having only been born the previous day, she is able to crawl and respond to stimuli similar to a one-year old human infant. Within a week, she is already able to walk and is able to learn a few words.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: Raphael does not find out that he is a father until the Fugitoid alerts him that Mona Lisa is going into labor at the hospital on her home planet.
- Meaningful Name: Mona Lisa names Irrilia after "irrilium", the space-fuel that she and Raphael's party worked together to obtain when they first met.
- Missing Mom: Justified. A common affliction with new Salamandarian mothers is Post-Birth-Eating Disorder (PBED) where the mother is compelled to try and eat their offspring.note Because of this, Raphael has to take care of Irrilia without Mona until the affliction wears out for Irrilia's own safety.
- Open-Minded Parent: Splinter takes it astonishingly well when he finds out about Irrilia, agreeing to be there for Raphael in taking care of her and simply being happy with having a baby girl in the house again.
- Papa Wolf: Despite his hot-headedness, Raphael takes to parenthood very quickly. When the Kraang kidnap her, to say that he loses it is an understatement.
- Pregnant Reptile: It is implied that Irrilia's birth was a live one, Mona Lisa having delivered her at a hospital in her home planet. What makes this trope apply is that Mona Lisa is a Salamandrian (a humanoid salamander alien) while the father Raphael is a mutant-turtle.
- Recursive Fanfiction: The premise of the fanfic is centered around Irrilia, a popular fanmade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) character created by Myrling. This is especially telling since some of the chapters are accompanied by various Fan Web Comics made by Myrling that the chapters in-turn are based off of.
- Teen Pregnancy: While it is never stated how old Mona Lisa is in Salamandarian culture, Raphael certainly is a teenager, making him a teen dad.
