Naming

Set after Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the short oneshot explores the sleeping Zelda's reaction to waking up a millenia in the future. The title comes from the fact all of Hyrule's princesses are named after the Zelda that was put into a coma.
Naming provides examples of:
- Dark Fic: The story is introspective in how much of a shock waking up centuries in the future is. It's also shown that Hyrule has fallen a lot in the centuries since Zelda fell asleep.
- Fish out of Temporal Water: Zelda has been asleep for 1000 years. She can barely even understand the language after so long.
- Heroic Mime: Link only appears in the first scene and as in the games, doesn't speak.
- Language Drift: Over a thousand years, it has created a Language Barrier between those a Zelda of such a time in the past, and the present.
- Language Barrier: Hylian has changed a lot throughout the centuries. Zelda can't understand most people. The current Zelda learned Ancient Hylian through texts, but she can only speak it formally.
- Living Relic: As a result of having spent a millennium in a magically-induced coma, everybody whom Zelda used to know is long dead, the form of Hylian she speaks is only preserved in thousand-year-old sagas, and her clothes are so old that they're given to scholars to study.
- Modest Royalty: Hyrulian royalty dress modestly because the kingdom is impoverished.
- One-Steve Limit: Zelda's brother made it so that all princesses would be named "Zelda". Zelda is angered when she learns this. To avoid confusion, the current Zelda is referred to as "the princess" by the text.
- One-Word Title: The title comes from the fact all of Hyrule's princesses are named after the Zelda that was put into a coma.
