A lone vampire bat sneaks through the mirror portal and ends up in the human world. Instead of apples, it now craves something far richer. And unfortunately for Sunset Shimmer, she's its next snack.
Sunset can't remember any of her activities past sundown. The light hurts not just her eyes, but burns her skin. And she's thirsty.
So very thirsty.
It's up to the Rainbooms to save Sunset from herself before she drinks the whole city dry. Too bad Twilight Sparkle is her primary target.
Ten chapters were written between October 2015 to February 2016, originally for the Halloween season but grew in size that continued beyond the spooky holiday.

- Addiction Displacement: Pinkie's idea to help Sunset not bite them is to suck on Apples instead of blood. It helps somewhat with her desire to suck, but doesn't satisfy her nutritional need for blood

- Double Standard: Rape, Female on Female: Averted. Sci-Twi is traumatized by Vampire Sunset feeling her up and breaks down in tears.
- Enemy Within: Sunset's and later Sci-Twi's struggle of not returning to who they once were when given awesome power.
- Evil vs. Evil: Vampire Sunset vs Vampire Lyra and Bon Bon.
- Giving Up on Logic: Sci-Twi is in disbelief of Pinkie's eating habits and overall nature, but Rainbow Dash and later on Sunset tell her to accept it. "Let it go, Twi, you'll live longer."
- Hypocrite Has a Point: Towards the end, Sunset attempts to persuade Sci-Twi to turn back human but is rebutted by her statement. "Playtime's over. I know you think you need this power, but it's just messing with your head." "Hello, pot, I'm kettle." Sunset ran a hand through her hair. "Fair enough. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy being a vampire. But you're human. You never had this level of power to begin with. You don't need it either. You're fine just the way you are, Sparky."
- Lame Pun Reaction: Unintended pun that Pinkie notices after Applejack, and later Rarity, laments on how their last few nights sucked at the end of the story.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Quoted directly by Pinkie when Sunset is missing in Pinkie's parent's house during the sleepover.
- No Matter How Much I Beg: Sunset gets Twilight and Rainbow to tie her up.
- Poor Communication Kills: Pinkie loses sight of friends when lost in a forest, when asking which path to take at a fork Rainbow Dash tells her "right" when Pinkie asked to go right or left.
- Running Gag: Occurring to Sunset and later Bon Bon, Garlic is constantly thrown at the eyes whether or not that was the thrower's direct target.
- The mentions of Sunset possibly sucking one of the main six's blood makes them all cover their neck as if it were second nature. "No to the second, yes to the first, but only if I get to drink your blood." Everyone placed a hand over their necks.
- Single-Target Sexuality: Sunset's newly realized crush towards Sci-Twi turns into a very horny vampire declaration of herself being "Twisexual."
- Shout-Out: Several Dragon Ball Z Abridged references such as when Sci-Twi says "I think I need an adult", with Sunset responding "Technically, I am an adult."
- "So, Bonnie, who has a B average, two broken wrists, and can't fly?" Through Sunset's stranglehold, Bon Bon choked out, "But I only have one-" Snap! Bon Bon opened her mouth, letting out a pathetic whine."This girl." Sunset smirked...
- The "hit in the eye" gag that happened to Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga happens to the Vampires.
- Tempting Fate: Sunset's repeating declaration early on in the story that Vampires do not exist.
- Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Pinkie's blood is too sweet for Sunset.
- Vampires Are Sex Gods: Along with certain senses being amplified, Sunset and others find a high amount of lust towards those who they have feelings for.
- Bon Bon and Lyra admit to this directly, "Hot vampire sex!" Lyra shouted. "And then I gave her some of my blood." "And then, more sex," Bon Bon added.
- Vulgar Humor: "'I guess just the act of sucking things helps sate me.' Rainbow bit her lip and snickered. 'Oh, grow up!'"
