The Loki'd Series is a How to Train Your Dragon/Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover by Dimensional-Phaser. Their premise is that at the age of twelve, Hiccup decides to serve Loki instead of Thor like the rest of Berk does minus Ruffnut and Tuffnut. After a chance meeting with Loki, Hiccup becomes Loki's Chosen and eventually is named the God of Dragons by Frigga. Hiccup lives well past the The Viking Age and into modern times and takes part in the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The first story in the series is called Loki'd and can be read here.

The second story in the series is called Full Loki! and can be read here.

The Loki'd Series contains examples of:

  • Alliterative Name: The alias Hiccup starts using during WWII is Hakon Hyse.
  • Back from the Dead: Hiccup dies but is resurrected with help from Hela.
  • Been There, Shaped History: Hiccup helped make the serum that was given to Steve Rogers. He worked along side of Howard Stark in SSR's research and development lab. He fought in the final battle against HYDRA during WWII. He also helped found SHIELD.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Hiccup gave Tony Stark a knife made out of vibranium as a gift. Tony later uses it to protect Hiccup during a kidnapping attempt by HYDRA.
  • The Chosen One:
    • Hiccup becomes this for Loki.
    • Adverted with Tony Stark who Hiccup corrects others by saying Tony is just his godson.
  • Clark's Third Law: Discussed when Hiccup brings Tony to the Archipelago and learns about "magic".
  • Familiar: Toothless is specifically stated as Hiccup's.
  • The Dragons Come Back: In chapter 39 of Full Loki!, Dragons take part in the Battle of New York, the first time they are seen by humans out side the archipelago in a millennium.
  • For Want Of A Nail:
    • By deciding to serve Loki rather than Thor, Hiccup isn't friendless before meeting Toothless.
    • By making Hiccup his chosen resulting in Hiccup acquiring his powers, Loki learns he was adopted centuries sooner.
    • Tony Stark being present for the assignation attempt of someone he considers family leads to him learning the identity of The Winter Solider years before Steve Rogers is thawed out.
  • Hidden Elf Village: The Archipelago and its allies on Earth count as this.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Basically what everyone thinks of Loki's claims that he is protecting the people of the Earth by leading an invasion of Earth during The Avengers (2012).
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite Hiccup's presence (and being named Tony Stark's godfather), the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man, and Thor unfold similarly to canon. Things start to get different near the end of Iron Man 2 with Tony being brought to the Archipelago to have the shrapnel removed before making the new element to use in the arc reactor and become much more noticeable during The Avengers (2012).
  • The Mole: Hiccup is one that is planted with the candidates for Project Rebirth during the events of Captain America: The First Avenger.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Thor, believing Loki is wanting to destroy Jotunheim, interferes with Loki using the Bifrost to kill Laufey and his war council. Instead of a nice clean precision strike, Thor's interference results in mass causalities and destruction on Jotunheim.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Hiccup's disguise when dealing with humans outside of the Archipelago and it's allies during and after Word War II are based on his own real appearance modified for what ever age he is trying to pass as. Him forgetting to disguise himself as an old man when he briefly boards the Helicarrier in chapter 37 of Full Loki! results in him being recognized and his cover being blown in chapter 38, at least with SHIELD and Asgard.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Hiccup doesn't bother to change Toothless' disguise as Torbjörg the Dog when dealing with humans outside of the Archipelago and it's allies over the decades starting with Captain America: The First Avenger and continuing through the events of The Avengers (2012). Everyone minus Tony goes along with the idea that Torbjörg is an incredibly long lived dog that likes to eat fish.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Phil Coulson in this story is a descendant of Tuffnut Thorston.
  • Spanner in the Works: Thor's banishment to Earth was this for the plot to install one of Loki's Jotnar brothers to the throne of Jotunheim.
  • Spared By Adaptation: Phil Coulson isn't killed by Loki.
  • Spotting the Thread: In chapter 38, Both Tony and Thor correctly deduce that Loki didn't accidentally kill Hiccup in chapter 37 because Toothless isn't going on a rampage like he would if his bond with Hiccup had been broken.
  • This Cannot Be!: Both Pierce and the computerized Zola say variations of this in the aftermath of massive attack on several HYDRA bases by The Changewings Guild.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: The Ancient One says that no matter what choices she makes, her death is fixed point in the timeline.
