It has been a thousand years since Princess Twilight's royal inauguration ceremony, a thousand years filled with both good and bad memories for the new monarch. Through the loss of her closest friends and her family, to griffins declaring war on Equestria again, Princess Twilight has had her big share of grief to cope with. But she has also had good things to alleviate the pain, for her friendship with the other three princesses has strengthened beyond measure. Little does she know the princesses have a different form of friendship in mind after these thousand years, for each harbor a secret love for the new monarch, and have decided its finally safe to come forth with said love.

- Catfight: All the elder princesses got into one in response to them all proposing at once to Twilight.
- Driven to Suicide: Spike commited suicide by taking a substance called Dragon's Bane after Rarity and Sweetie Belle passed. Twilight attempted to do so as well, but her immortality prevented her from succeeding
- Great Off Screen War: The Griffin Wars.
- Her Heart Will Go On: Invoked. Trixie made Twilight Promise on her Deathbed to find love once more. Also, Cadence fell for Twilight sometime after Shining Armor passed.
- Legacy Character: The Soothe Family as a whole are this for Lotus and Aloe.
- Not Blood Siblings: Celestia and Luna were adopted into the same family
- Polyamory: Spike ended up with Rarity and Sweetie Belle, while Pinkie got into a herd with Lyra, Bonbon, Vinyl Scratch and Octavia.
- Wacky Marriage Proposal: Celestia, Luna AND Cadence Proposed to Twilight at with in the span of three minutes.
