• Action Girlfriend: Sonata becomes this to Cisco.

• Adaptational Karma: The four billionaires who exploited Shashi's parents are presumably arrested in this fic thanks to Twilight hacking their char with Cleve.

• Alternate Universe: The Spy Racers share the same universe as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Equestria Girls in this fic.

• Amazon Chaser: Cisco becomes attracted to Sonata and vice versa.

• Animal Disguise: reversed. The Turtles are in their cloaked human disguises for most of the fic but are eventually exposed by Shashi after he obtains Skeleton Key.

• A Real Man Is a Killer: Cleve Celso tells Arboost he's not a real man for drawing the line when it comes to hurting children. This makes Arboost end his partnership with him.

• Bait-and-Switch:
  • During their code heist, Layla calls Tony a dofus. Gabby tells her that he's not... before saying that he's only part dofus, much to his annoyance.
  • Before that, Rainbow Dash gives Layla a good luck handshake only to flip her to the ground.

• Big Brother Instinct: Dom is just as protective of Gabby as he is with Tony.
  Dom: These guys giving you trouble, Gabby?
  Gabby: No, Dom. These are my friends from New York and Canterlot.

• Big "NO!": The ninjas just before Shashi exposes the Turtles' true identities.
  • Gabby when Ms. Nowhere tasers Layla.

• Blatant Lies: When Tony and the Crew try to hide the Turtles from Dom, Ms. Nowhere, and Gary, Tony makes up that they're cosplayers. Frostee just says that they're not giant turtles.

• Brought Down to Normal: While Layla Gray remains unbeatable to Tony and even Rainbow Dash, she loses a race to Gabby and then later to the Turtles.

• Bullying the Dragon:
  • After Layla loses a race to Gabby, Donnie and Casey are quick to throw it in her face. Then she takes Casey's hockey stick and wacks them both.
  • Rainbow Dash makes this mistake too when she reminds Layla that she lost to the Turtles and Layla punches her in the face.

• Cassandra Truth: Sunset tells Rainbow Dash that she thinks SH1FT3R is shady, but Rainbow Dash doesn't believe her. Sunset's proven right by Ms. Nowhere.

• Caught on Tape: Echo kicking Mussels butt and Gary plowing down the soldiers are both seen by the Ninjas and the other Spies through camera and drone feed.

• Connected All Along:
  • Ivan Steranko/Rocksteady was a business partner to Sudarikov but ended that for reasons explained by Rainbow Dash.
  Rainbow Dash: [to Sunset] He told me that the guy had no common sense, self-preservation, or restraint.
  • Shashi reveals to the Ninjas that he and Hun became business partners after allowing the Purple Dragons to have the Shredder's stashed money in Broken Foot under the condition that they share it with SH1FT3R.
  • Cleve Celso was a business partner to Arboost, but Arboost cuts ties with him after he calls him a wussy for disagreeing with him about killing Shashi along with his parents.

• Crossover: With Equestria Girls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Fast and Furious Spy Racers.

• Crossover Siblings: Gabby is Tony and Dom Torreto's cousin in this fic.

• Curb-Stomp Battle:
  • Sonata gives one to Mussels during the Yoka heist.
  • A subverted one with Gabby and Ms. Nowhere. While Gabby give her a few good hits, Nowhere doesn't stay down until Leo nerve strikes her twice.

• Didn't See That Coming: Ms. Nowhere and Gary apparently didn't know Spike could talk.

• Don't Make Me Destroy You: After Tony and Rainbow Dash boast about winning the race and Layla threaten to smack them, Gabby threatens Layla to watch her mouth until Shashi eases them off.

• Don't Shoot the Message: Donnie says this after he's booed by the SH1FT3R audience and beaned with a can by Frostee, just because he pointed out that Mitch's car was totaled and couldn't race after Layla wanted a rematch against Tony and Rainbow Dash.

• Easily Forgiven:
  • During their fight against Ms. Nowhere, Layla and Gabby forgive each other. Gabby forgives Layla for attacking her on Mt. Zebulon. And Layla forgives Gabby for lying to her about being a mole.
  • Subverted with Ms. Nowhere. While Fluttershy forgives her after she saves them General Dudley, everyone else still labels her a jerk.
  • Although Tony and Crew are mad at Gabby and the Turtles for deceiving them, after they explain themselves (and after saving them from the military attack drones), they forgive them. Dom also forgives the Turtles for their deception since they had Tony and Gabby's backs.

• Fake Identity Baggage: Although she's not the one in disguise, Gabby feels guilty for deceiving Tony and the Crew about who the Turtles really are. Donnie also feels this way after Frostee states that he trusts him, after he frees him from his handcuffs.

• Fire-Forged Friends: Layla and Gabby start off disliking each other but start to warm up. When the Spies and Ninjas cover is blown, Layla is hurt by Gabby lying to her and the two get into a fight which causes them both to nearly fall off the mountain. After they rescue each other and during their battle against Ms. Nowhere, they both apologize. Before the Spies and Ninjas go after Shashi, Layla hugs Gabby. After Shashi's defeat, Layla and Gabby are now on better terms.

• Great Detective: Shashi is able to find out the Turtles through their cloaked disguises by remembering and noticing little details, such as hearing about how each turtle wears a distinct colored mask and their human disguises each wear that color.

• Heel Realization: Gabby has this while the Ninjas and Spies are heading to the exchange site, realizing that it's unfair that they've been lying Tony and the Crew about who the Turtles are when they've done nothing but trust them. Donnie has the same after Frostee frees him and Twilight, stating that he trusts them.

• If Only You Knew: During their ghost town race, after Rainbow Dash tells Tony that she's got his back, he sarcastically says that it's not like she can sprout wings and run super fast, unaware that's exactly what she can do. When fending off the Skelton Key attack drones, she shows him.

• I Told You So:
  • Sunset gives this to Rainbow Dash when they find out she was right about SH1FT3R being shady.

  • After she and Sunset find their bikes, Rainbow Dash admits that Ms. Nowhere's not totally the worst, Fluttershy gives them this.

• In Spite of a Nail: The fic is a retelling of season 1 of Spy Racers with the Turtles, April, Casey, Gabby, the Rainbooms, and Dazzlings added. Dispite a few minor changes, the storylines are still the same, like Frostee getting kidnapped (with Donnie ,Twilight, and Spike being kidnapped as well) and Shashi obtaining Skelton Key.

• Karmic Butt-Monkey: Mitch suffers this by Aria and Sonata for being a jerk to Tony. First the two steal his tacos and drink without him noticing. Then instead of Echo stealing his car right in front of him, Sonata zaps him unconscious with Casey's taser and steals his hat.

• Laser-Guided Karma:
  • Layla calls the Turtle Racer and the Patrol Buggies piles of junk, then later loses two races to both of said vehicles.

  • When Ms Nowhere pulls her assets from the Spies, she also takes the Shell Razor and the Turtle Racer, along with Dr Cluckingsworth. So when both parties steal her plane it doubles as pay back for everything she's done to them as well as her cruelty to Gary and Julius, according to Fluttershy. And after she tasers Tony and Gabby, Gabby returns the favor after she breaks out of her hold.

  • While Cleve Celso escapes, the four other billionaires are presumably arrested for their crimes, after Twilight hacks the security footage of their conversation with Cleve about killing Shashi's parents and hands it to Ms Nowhere.

• Liar Revealed: Shashi uses Skelton Key to shut down the Turtles cloaking devices, exposing that their mutant turtles to the Crew, Layla, and his henchmen.

• Mass "Oh, Crap!":
  • The Turtles after Ms. Nowhere reveals to have seen right through their disguises.

  • Casey, Sunset, and Rainbow Dash after Sudarikov accidentally harpoons a police car.
  The Three: We're dead.
  • The Ninjas, Rainbooms, Dazzlings, and Gabby when they realize Shashi knows the guys are really Turtles.

  • Tony and the Crew after Shashi's defeat when they see Dom, Ms. Nowhere, and Gary heading their way and the Turtles are exposed, not knowing yet that they already know.

• Meaningful Echo: When Leo protests against Ms. Nowhere taking the Shell Razor and Turtle Racer, the agent simply replies that she'll take them and that she doesn't care if they have a problem with it.
  Leo: You can't take our rides. We worked hard building them together!
  Ms. Nowhere: I can and I don't care.
  • Later, when the Spies and Ninjas steal Ms. Nowhere's plane, Leo repeats her reply.
  Ms. Nowhere: You can't take my plane! It's mine!
  Leo: We can and we don't care!

• My Sister Is Off-Limits: Adagio threatens Cisco with her ninja weapon to keep his eyes off Sonata while their highjacking the Yoka truck.

• Once Done, Never Forgotten:
  • After Layla remarks how Tony's not as good as he claims he is, he argues that he is that good, only for Gabby to bring up how he talked a big game to Mitch and then totally lost to him.
  • Tony gives this to Layla when he brags about Gabby beating her, which Layla then punches him in the gut.

• "Reason You Suck" Speech: The Ninjas give this to Ms. Nowhere. Gabby calls her a bruja which is spanish for witch, after she zaps Layla unconscious during their battle.
  Gabby: YOU BRUJA!
  • Then when the Ninjas and Crew are escaping on the plane, the Dazzlings accuse her of being a SpannerInTheWorks as the reason they didn't discover the cars in Shashi's house were the keys. And technically, their not wrong.
  Adagio: Not to mention, if you had let Frostee, Twilight, or Donnie take a closer look at those cars, then maybe they might have discovered that they were the keys!

  Aria:But you said 'Forget the Cars', Ms. No-nothing!

  Sonata: So, it's kind of your fault we didn't find the keys sooner.
  • Then after finding out from Dr. Cluckingsworth that she was gonna have her dissected, Fluttershy the NiceGirl shouts that she's heartless and the others agree. Mikey then names her Ms. Jerkwhere.
  Fluttershy: Ms. Nowhere was gonna have you dissected?! Pardon my language but... MS. NOWHERE, YOU'RE HEARTLESS!”

  Rainbow Dash: Whoa! If Fluttershy's calling someone heartless, then it must be true. And I totally agree! She's a total jerk! Except Gary, that dude's cool.

  Aria: Oh yeah, Ms. Nowhere is absolutely the worst!

  April: And she didn't seem to care that much about saving our friends. She probably just doesn't want to look bad.

  Gabby: With that warning, she gave us against listening to your heart, I believe that.

  Leo: Not to mention she treated us all like we're beneath her! She's almost as bad as the Shredder.

  Dazzlings: Almost!

  Casey: And she took all of your cool stuff!

  Mikey: She's Ms. Jerkwhere, alright! Yeah, that's what I'm gonna call her now!

• Replacement Goldfish: Rainbow Dash and Sunset lose their cars in their final battle in Vegas. But at the end, Ms. Nowhere gives them motorcycles.

• Shipper on Deck: Tony does a Ship Tease to both Gabby and Casey and Leo and Twilight.

• Shout-Out:
  • While racing Sudarikov, Rainbow Dash mentions that he once sold hand grandes to a high school football team for a prank, which is a refrence to the movie, My Name Is Earl.
  • Gabby and Layla's fight is based off Letty and Kara's fight from Furious 7.
  • When Spike talks to the Crew, Cisco and Echo's reaction is based of Max and Thor's reaction in George of the Jungle after hearing Ape speak.
  Cisco: Did that dog just speak?
  Echo: That dog just spoke, yo.

• Suddenly Speaking: While the Woofer doesn't talk in canon, she shouts at Applejack for clawing her car before the said girl knocks her out, during the mountain race.
  Woofer: Hey, watch the paint job!

• That Never Happened: When Me. Nowhere gets angry when the Ninjas and Crew tell her they left her plane back in Vegas, Gabby tells her that if she forgets them stealing her plane she and Tony won't tell Dom that she tried to throw them in jail.

• The Reveal:
  • Shashi exposes the Turtles by shutting down their disguises with Skelton Key.
  • Later, the Rainbooms reveal their powers after Rarity shields everyone from the attack drones.

• True Companions: Frostee still sees Donnie as a friend dispite that he's a mutant turtle and also deceived him. Jun even questions him on this.
  Jun: How can you see him as anything but a freak?
  Frostee: He's my friend.

• What Does She See in Him?: Adagio and Aria don't get why Sonata and Cisco fall for each other.
