I Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts is a Danny Phantom and Extreme Ghostbusters crossover story by Kung Fu Blaziken. After Vlad kills Jack, framing Phantom in the process, Danny manages to fake his death and flee to New York City. There, he crosses paths with the Ghostbusters and quickly becomes a part of the team, all while trying to keep a low profile so that Vlad won't discover that he's still alive.

  • Ability Mixing: Danny claims the title of Master of Ice from Cryonic by combining his cryokinesis with his other ghost powers. Cryonic may have more experience with plain ice, but Danny's raw power outclasses his.
  • Badass Longcoat: Kylie gives Danny a black trenchcoat as a gift so the younger teen won't be walking around New York in the winter in short sleeves. He later discovers he can invert its coloring if he wears it when becoming Phantom, and adopts it into his ghost form's look.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Back in Amity Park, Valerie is having trouble facing Ember and a new backing ghost band when the Ghostbusters and Phantom show up to help her out.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Danny and the Ghostbuster's fight with Vlad ends with the latter effectively stripped of his ghost powers.
  • Death by Adaptation: The first chapter has Vlad kill Jack, who survived to the end of the series in canon. Later on Tucker is killed while Vlad's prisoner, although Sam survives.
  • Dynamic Entry: When Danny returns to confront Vlad, Skulker and Technus, he calls the Ghostbusters when it's time for them to join the fight, at which point the Ecto-Speeder crashes through the wall to reveal Daniel's alliance with the Ghostbusters.
  • Eye Scream: In the fight between Danny and Vlad after the latter murders Jack, Vlad fires an energy beam directly into Danny's left eye. The damage is seemingly permanent, and Danny eventually has to get special corrective lenses from Frostbite to prevent his vision from deteriorating further.
  • Faking the Dead: After his fight with Vlad ends with Maddie falling into a coma, Danny fakes his suicide, having Jazz act as if he'd shot himself with one of the Fenton weapons before his corpse fell through the portal.
  • Foreshadowing: After Danny explains his history to the Ghostbusters, Egon wonders what the proton guns would do to a half-ghost, although he and Danny aren't willing to actually experiment given that the answers likely aren't pleasant. Later on, the fight with Vlad reveals that proton streams essentially burn half-ghosts, and Vlad takes so much damage in the fight that his powers are effectively stripped from him.
  • Frame-Up: Vlad finally manages to kill Jack, leaving behind Danny's symbol to frame his Phantom side for the deed.
  • Franken-vehicle: After the Box Ghost brings the components of the Fenton Speeder to Ghostbusters HQ, the Ghostbusters and Danny are able to adapt it with their own weapons to create the Ecto-Speeder.
  • Heel–Face Turn: The Box Ghost ultimately turns from his usual attempts at villainy to help the Ghostbusters gather technology to confront Vlad.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Danny to Nocturne, upon escaping from the dreamstate the latter trapped him in.
  • Spot the Impostor: Danny realises that he's in a dream when "Jack Fenton" is dismissive of the Ghost Portal, as his real father would never be so dismissive towards his own technology.
