Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen
is a crossover fanfiction between RWBY and the Marvel Universe written by Guest 1138 on FanFiction.Net.
Official summary: After the mass-murdering Ultron invades Remnant, Teams RWBY and JNPR are scattered throughout an unfamiliar universe. Now the young huntsmen and huntresses must join forces with the Avengers, the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more to face down dastardly villains, reunite with one another, and ultimately find a way to save their home.
Tropes in Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen include:
- Birds of a Feather: Unsurprisingly, Tony and Ruby get along quickly due to Ruby's love of weapons, with Tony being impressed by Crescent Rose. Ruby also quickly gets along with Spider-Man.
- The Dead Have Names: The X-Men have a memorial room with statues dedicated to their fallen members. Names include Thunderbird, Morph, Psylocke, Husk, and Jean Grey.
- Heroic BSoD: Ruby suffers one caused by a combination of Ultron's attack on Remnant and after nearly killing Weiss under Mesmero's influence, having barely left her room for a week.
- Identity Amnesia: During the fight with Ultron, Yang suffers a massive blow from the android and is knocked unconscious after slamming through a wall. When she's next seen, it's revealed that the blow caused her to lose her memories, remembering only her name.
- My God, What Have I Done?: After being freed of Mesmero's control, Ruby is horrified to see that she injured Weiss.
- Mythology Gag: Jaune unlocks his Semblance similarly to canon, though instead of Cinder injuring Weiss, it's Ruby under the control of Mesmero.
- Oh, Crap!: Captain America and Iron Man have this reaction at the end of Chapter 12 when they learn from Vision that Ren and Nora are in Latveria, meaning they're likely being held prisoner by Doctor Doom.
- Patchwork Fic: The Marvel side of the crossover blends elements of different incarnations, mostly the comics and cartoons:
- The main insperation is The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
- Sakaar used to be ruled by the Red King like in the Planet Hulk film before the Grandmaster took over after the Red King's death.
- The Lance Alvers version of Avalanche from X-Men: Evolution is a part of the Brotherhood and even has a history with Kitty Pryde.
- Recursive Fanfiction: The author was inspired to write this fic by Hunters of Justice. It can also be considered one for Remnant's Mightiest Heroes, where Teams RWBY and JNPR end up on Earth after Kang the Conqueror takes over Remnant. However, there are some differences between the two stories; namely, Ultron is the one to attack Remnant in this story instead of Kang, and while all of Teams RWBY and JNPR are together when they arrive on Earth in both HoJ and RMH, here they all end up being scattered throughout the Marvel Universe.

- Wiz, Boomstick, and Ringmaster all make appearances on Sakaar, the former two doing post-battle analysis while Ringmaster acts as an announcer for the gladiator matches.
- Phyllis, the AI Tony designed to run Remnant HQ, is based off of F.I.L.S.S. from Red vs. Blue.
- Starter Villain: After being scattered throughout the universe by Ultron, the various members of Teams RWBY and JNPR have encounters with different Marvel villains in the starting arcs of the story before reuniting.
- After arriving on Earth and meeting the Avengers, the first major villains Ruby ends up facing is Hydra headed by Baron Zemo, and in particular, the Grim Reaper.
- For Jaune and Weiss, it's Malekith and Amora the Enchantress, the two working together to acquire the Casket of Ancient Winters from Asgard's vault while pinning the blame on the Frost Giants and Loki.
- For Ren and Nora, it's Doctor Doom, the two being captured by Doom's forces.
- For Yang, it's Titus and his crew (along with a Chitauri fleet), Yang joining up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop Titus from getting the Sun Shredder... which happens to be full of Brood.
- For Pyrrha, it's the Grandmaster, having ended up on Sakaar and forced to join the gladiator matches. Blake soon joins her, having been tortured by the Brotherhood of the Badoon before being sold to the Grandmaster, after which they (along with Bug, Mantis, Nebula, and Hercules) battle the Champion of the Universe for their freedom and succeed.
- Uncertain Doom: It's unknown what happened to Team CFVY (along with several other prisoners) before teams RWBY and JNPR confronted Ultron. However, Ultron does imply plans for survivors and the Grimm, including "readjustments".
- Wham Line: The end of Chapter 12 reveals that Ren and Nora arrived on Earth at the same time Ruby did, but their signals were being blocked. When asked why, Vision's response fills Steve and Tony with dread.Vision: Latveria. They're in Latveria.
