Bruce Wayne is Dead...

Earth-1194 is a Crossover Fan Fic created by Consaibot 1, featuring characters and places from the Marvel Universe and The DCU. Set after a Crisis Crossover dubbed The Apokolips War, the series begins with Earth's Heroes picking up the pieces and mending the scars from the cataclysmic event.

The first story in the series is dubbed Sons of Batman, following Dick Grayson and Jason Todd as they both struggle for the role as Batman's successor, not helped by the arrival of Damien Wayne, Bruce's son with Talia Al Ghul. It has been followed soon after with Stupendous Spider-Man, showing a more veteran Peter Parker looking to his future both as Peter Parker and as Spider-Man. Another story was added shortly afterwards called Cold War: Avengers vs Justice League.

The series can be read here.

Earth-1194 provides examples of:

  • The Ace: Dick Grayson is is to the rest of the Bat Family.
  • Antagonist in Mourning: The Joker is this during Sons of Batman. It doesn't last long...
  • Anti-Hero: Jason Todd is this compared to Dick.
  • Badass: It's Marvel and DC Comics. It was going to happen.
    • Badass Normal: The Bat Family, but especially Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Catwoman and Flamebird too.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Given to the Joker by Jason Todd.
  • Crossover: Of the Marvel Universe and The DCU.
  • Do Not Adjust Your Set: Lex Luthor does this to announce his bid for becoming President during Norman Osborn's own press conference declaring the same thing.
  • Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: Two examples of this in Sons of Batman Chapter 6. Fisk attempts to dissuade Azrael (and by extension Batman) to not oppose him via a sucker punch only for Azrael to shoulder toss the Kingpin to show him not to underestimate the Bat Family.
  • Freudian Slip: Peter lets slip that he knows Miles Morales has joined the Teen Titans to JJ. Luckily, Jonah just offers him more money if Peter can photograph Miles with the Titans.
  • Legacy Character: Dick Grayson ultimately dons the mantle of Batman. Miles Morales is a subversion as Peter Parker is still operating as Spider-Man, even though Miles claims the mantle.
  • Offscreen Breakup: Dick Grayson and Starfire/Koriand'r have done this prior to the first chapter of Sons of Batman.
  • Original Generation: A few examples.
    • An early antagonist is Stupendous Spider-Man is a new goblin dubbed Paragoblin. As of Chapter 3 of Stupendous Spider-Man, Paragoblin has been revealed to be Mary Jane Watson
    • Sons of Batman provides both MK Ultra, a Mercenary for Hire who uses Mind Control technology, and Parody AKA Claire Kasady, daughter of The Joker
  • Pet the Dog: J. Jonah Jameson provides an example of this to Peter Parker in Stupendous Spider-Man Chapter 1, giving him extra money and an opportunity for more after a Freudian Slip
  • Precocious Crush: Raven to Peter Parker Spider-Man. She even made a Spider Suit for him to use in Bludhaven.
  • Running Gag: Everyone assumes Bruce's secret child had to be with Selina, and then noting they didn't think Bruce and Talia were that close.
  • Unexpected Character: Copperhead is the second villain introduced in the series, but the first fought by a Hero.
    • Wilson Fisk arrives in Gotham.
  • Wham Episode: Several early on.
    • Chapter 1 of Sons of Batman is one given that Bruce died off-screen prior to it...and the Joker dies during it.
    • Chapter 1 of Cold War: Avengers vs Justice League: We learn that Captain Marvel, Supergirl, Silk, Batwoman, Valkyrie and Blackfire were all brainwashed by Darkseid. Jane Foster, Cassie Lang and Riri Williams are all brainwashed by A.I.M. And the icing on the cake? Steve Rogers quits the Avengers to join the Justice League.
    • Chapter 3 of Stupendous Spider-Man: The Paragoblin is Mary Jane Watson.
  • Wham Line: "Bruce Wayne is dead".
