Damona in the Details is a fanfiction by amf studios, based on the Yo-kai Watch franchise.
The story is a What If?, with the idea of Nate pulling a different yo-kai from the Crank-a-Kai than Whisper.
The yo-kai freed in this story is Damona, and instead of becoming Nate's servant, she has a different idea of how to repay the debt for freeing her...
With Damona as both his primary yo-kai companion, and fiancée, Nate is going to have a bit more of a chaotic time than usual...

- It Amused Me: Falsina pretends to be in danger of falling to her death on a fairground ride because she's bored.
- Mistaken for Cheating: Damona overhears Nate having a phone conversation with another girl, and assumes that he is cheating on her. It turns out that the girl is his cousin.
- Nonhuman Humanoid Hybrid: Damona is half Yuki-onna, and half Oni.
- Oh, Crap!:
- This is Whisper's reaction when he reads Damona's wiki page and learns just what she's capable of.
- Both Nate and Jibanyan have this reaction when they see Plundros for the first time.
- Damona gets one when she realises she's time-travelled back to the moment she was put in the Crank-a-Kai.
- Damona gets one when she learns that Swelterrier was sent by the Order of the Cross, a.k.a the exorcists who put her in the Crank-a-Kai in the first place.
- Komane's reaction when he learns that Nate was never inspirited and Damona was only attacking in self-defence.
- Nate and Damona get one when Jibanyan draws the attention of every Noko in the room they are currently in.
- Both Komane and Gabriel get one when they realise that they are dealing with a Wicked Overlord.
- Related in the Adaptation: Falsina is Damona's younger sister.
- Salt Solution: Gabriel uses salt in order to prevent Bruff from following him and Komane.
- Shout-Out: In Chapter 20, Swelterrier sings a modified version of Heat Miser's song.
- Something We Forgot: After meeting Damona's father, Nate wonders if they forgot something, only for Damona to dismiss it. It turns out they forgot Jibanyan.
- Tempting Fate: Upon seeing Whisper's "Scream" form and learning that it only appears when something completely horrific is about to happen, Katie tries to pass it off as him being paranoid. A few minutes later, she gets attacked by Slackerjack.
- Uptown Girl: Ordinary High-School Student Nate becomes engaged to youkai princess Damona.
- Waking Non Sequitur: When Baku is defeated by Insomni, Bear cries "No, wait Mom, I'm awake!" as he jolts upright.
