A Few Needed Adjustments
is a Yo-kai Watch: Shadowside fanfic where Natsume finds out Kyubi is her actual biological father.
One morning, Natsume wakes up to bloody bed sheets. This is normal for a girl her age and she had expected it, but what she hadn't expected was her body transforming. She now looks like some weird rat/werewolf hybrid, with a tail, paw pads, and green eyes. Natsume is freaked out by this but what's even more unnerving is why she looks like this: She's half yo-kai on her dad's side, more specifically Kyubi's side.
The story was cancelled after twelve chapters. It's being rewritten as A Fox In Human Clothing.

- Big Eater: Natsume's transformation turns her into this. When she orders McDonald's for breakfast, she eats 1/2 pound of rice, 3 McMuffins, and 7 eggs.

- Interspecies Romance: Kyubi and Katie had a few flings, but Fumi loved her husband Keita too much to leave him. Kyubi still pines after Fumi after thirteen years.
- Luke, You Are My Father: Natsume summons Kyubi, who is shocked by her new appearance, and tells him that he's her biological father.
- Parental Sexuality Squick: While Natsume is curious about how she came about, her brother Keisuke is grossed out by it:Kyubi: "Sorry, I'm just...remembering when I was...'with' your mom."Keisuke: "Ugh, I do not want to imagine my mom bang-oh my god, it's seemed in my mind!"
- Puberty Superpower: Natsume wakes up one morning noticing she's both had her first period and grown a tail (amongst other physical changes).
