Cartoon Network City is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover series, probably next to PerkyGoth14's Pooh's Adventures series of Cherry's Adventures that is well-known in the fan fiction community. The stories seem to be mostly centered around various Cartoon Network characters, and occasionally also from Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, and very often, OCs are shown to be living together.

Cartoon Network City is also shown to be not a normal city as many citizens have special and unique abilities that they tend to show off and the series has a large cast and not just canon characters.

Cartoon Network City provides examples of:

  • Abusive Parents: At times, a character will have a tear-jerker backstory of having horrible parents who hurt them on various occasions, and other characters will try to help them through it.
  • Butt-Monkey: The character Cindy, who is frequently the target of threats, bullying, and all-around injury. What makes this particularly damning is that Cindy is the OC of Perky Goth 14.
  • City of Adventure
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Some characters, like Jo for example, tend to try and use their crappy childhood upbringings as justifications for their terrible behavior.
  • Jerkass: Many antagonists or bullies come off as this, especially when they go out of their way to make fun of one of the heroes just for shits and giggles. Expect to hear the stock phrase "At least my parents didn't abandon me" uttered by a bully.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Like you wouldn't believe.
  • Parental Abandonment: Some characters are orphans, the most prominent example being Mike Mazinsky who lost her parents when she was very young, but were very well-known in the city by many adults.
  • Pinball Protagonist: At various times, many stories will focus on other groups rather than the same characters every time due to the many characters shown in the series.
  • Running Gag: If one canon series has one, chances are this series will bring it up for a cheap laugh.
