Fanfic / Bleach: Legacy

Clark Kurosaki may seem to be your typical mild-mannered teenage boy but that couldn't be further from the truth. He possessed superhuman abilities like allowing him to run as fast as a speeding bullet and leap tall buildings over a single bound.

Normally, with such abilities one might had expected Clark to struggle to live the average life but thankfully, his family are far from ordinary, especially his orange-haired punk brother, Ichigo Kurosaki.

Then, Clark and Ichigo's lives just got a whole lot weirder when they encountered a monster known as a Hollow and a young woman in robes who called herself, Rukia Kuchiki. The two were now entangled in a secret war between Soul Reapers and the Hollows.

Bleach: Legacy is a crossover fanfic between My Adventures with Superman and Bleach. It is created by PowerCore Productions as part of his Anime x DC Comics series. The link can be found here.

Bleach: Legacy contains the following tropes:

  • Adaptational Expansion: Soul Society in this fic more than deals with human souls but alien souls as well. Several aliens also joined Soul Society as Soul Reapers.
  • Adaptational Species Change: It's implied that J'onn J'onzz and his niece, M'gann M'orzz became Soul Reapers when they inducted into Soul Society.
  • Big Brother Instinct:
    • One of things that sets Ichigo off is anyone that dares to mess with his family. One thug learns the hard way when he hits Clark.
    • Clark attacks a Hollow when it harms Yuzu and Karin. Followed by Ichigo jumping in the fray to aid him.
  • Bullying the Dragon: The Hollow wishes he didn't taunt a Soul Reapar and a Kryptonian about their dead mother.
  • Clark Kenting: Slightly Downplayed. People with the intelligence or a keen eye, like Uryu and Lois can tell Clark is Superman.
  • Foreign Exchange Student: Lois Lane ventured out of Metropolis to study abroad, attending Japan's Karakura High School.
  • Happily Adopted: Clark is content living with the Kurosakis who even after discovering about his powers treat him no different than the son/brother they've always known.
  • I See Dead People: Like the Kurosakis, Clark can see spirits.
  • My Greatest Failure: Both Ichigo and Clark view the death of their mother as this with Clark in particular wishing that if he had used his powers, his mother might have survived.
  • Noodle Incident: Five or six years ago, Ichigo actually pushed Clark off a forty-story building and Clark smashed a steel dumpster in the process.
  • Shipper on Deck: Ichigo, Yuzu and Karin are adamant in getting Clark together with Lois.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Sibling Team: Both Ichigo and Clark work together in dealing with supernatural creatures and aliens. Word of God admits the two are driven by family and brotherhood.
  • The Masquerade: The Soul Reapers' hunt for Hollows are this. This is problematic for Clark since he doesn't possess the Soul Reapers' ability to turn invisible.
  • Wham Shot: Byakuya did a slash across Clark's chest and to Clark and Ichigo's horror, there's a wound on it and it's....bleeding.
  • What If?: Clark's pod lands in Japan where it's found by the Kurosakis.
  • Worf Effect: Superman being slashed and bled by Byakuya shows the former is Not So Invincible After All and just how much more powerful Soul Society are.
