Awakening a hero
is a a Self-Insert Fic for Fire Emblem: Awakening written by The Tactician Knight.
One day Ron find himself in a mysterious area with a mysterious person wrapped in a cloak. The cloak mentions a deal that Ron knows nothing about. Placed in the world of Ylisse, Ron must go through the plot of Fire emblem awakening, and figure out what this deal is. With new and old friends who are going to through the same thing.
The Reverse Hero: A side story with a alternative timeline. Ron falls into this timeline, and he must find his way home. While he tries to find out the way back, he must go through the story and keep it together. Will he?
This fic provides examples of the following tropes, in addition to those already present in the source material:
- Alternate Timeline: This is what Reverse Hero takes place Aurion mentions over 9000 timelines where he has fought Ron and killed him
- Anyone Can Die: This is true for Reverse Hero. Almost the entire cast of Fire emblem characters and OC don't make it alive through the fic
- Jolt Zacks is this as well.
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: Ilithya with how she names the characters after Sacred stones characters. The name she gives Link. Seth is his actual name. Link is only a nickname, that basically become his real name.
- Curb-Stomp Battle:: Aurion does this to everyone he fights.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Ron when he breaks down after Reverse Hero.
- Heroic BSoD: Ron goes through this as Reverse Hero keeps going. It only gets worst when Aurion reveals That he has always beaten Ron,
- Let's Mock the Monsters: Aurion does this to Grima. He gets away with it.
- Madeof Explodium: Dusty apparently. She explodes in the middle of the fight with Amon.
- Justified when you realize Amon is a chaos version of Ron
- Meaningful Name: Chaos' full name is Chaos Fucking Insane
- Power at a Price: Ron's drive seem to do this. After using them, he passes out because of using all of his energy, and stays passed out the more time he is in the drives. Dragon Art does this to him as well. The stronger the spell the more damage to him. Ron started to cough up black blood.
- Running Gag: Ron getting stabbed in the leg.
- A Zelda reference with Link.
- Chaos doing something really random.
- Writers Cannot Do Math: In one of the first chapters. Ron mentions his price is 100 gold a month, but will lower it to 25 gold a week with expenses paid. Those two prices are the exact same.
