Tsundere Only Sane Man Karane and extremely thirsty Covert Pervert Hakari are the most normal members of the cast... because the others are like this (most of this is Played for Laughs however):
- Rentarou is a Love Freak who'll do damn near anything to ensure his girlfriends are happy, even if it costs him his life. And we do mean anything, up to and including being perfectly willing to terminate threats with extreme prejudice.
Girlfriends 1- 10
- Shizuka is a shy Cute Mute who communicates with quotes from her favorite books, and was shunned and abused for it.
- Nano represses her emotions in the name of utility and efficiency.
- Kusuri is so obsessed with the drugs she makes she keeps getting herself and everyone around her into trouble.
- Hahari serves as her daughter Hakari's foil, illustrating where being so blinded by emotion can lead; she's an Absurdly Youthful Mother who fell so deeply for her terminally ill first love at the age of 13, she decided to have his child via artificial insemination to have Someone to Remember Him By, but was still left deeply traumatized when he passed away, and turned Knight Templar Parent in Hakari's defense. She's also even thirstier than Hakari.
- Kurumi is a perpetually-hungry Big Eater who gets angry when hungry, causing her to lash out at others and drive them away, and hates herself for it.
- Mei was abused and abandoned by her parents, which essentially destroyed any and all value she placed on her life. She will do anything her masters order her to, no matter what she suffers as a result.
- Iku is a masochistic Determinator who'll work herself to exhaustion for what she cares about.
- Mimimi is obsessed with beauty, her own first and foremost.
Girlfriends 11- 20
- Meme is so shy she can't stand people looking at her, and has perfected the art of hiding when she gets too embarrassed.
- Chiyo has a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder which means that whenever she sees something that's not orderly, she's possessed by the urge to put it back in place.
- Naddy is a reverse Occidental Otaku whose obsession led her Abusive Parents to forbid her from ever coming back to the family house.
- In Yamame's case, she's dealt with her main source of angst already; she was teased for her large body, causing her to hate herself, but found pride in it through protecting animals and plants. Her main quirk now is her broad definition of what counts as a living thing, and the extreme lengths she'll go to avoid harming anything that qualifies.
- Momiji has No Sense of Personal Space when it comes to massaging other people, whether they ask for it or not.
- Yaku is perfectly willing to be The Tease with a boy who is several decades her junior and is also dating her granddaughter alongside 14 other girls.note Also, while Technologically Blind Elders are far from rare, her struggles are to the point where she struggles with landlines.
- Kishika’s overwhelming need for pampering and affection, hidden under her sense of responsibility for others, prompted her to fashion a fake hand and prerecorded audio in order to convince herself that she has Doting Parents. When she actually does get pampered by somebody, she regresses to infancy. Though arguably, despite this quirk, she's one of the more levelheaded members of the group.
- Ahko indulges in Retail Therapy to the point where she didn't know what to do with herself before meeting Rentarou. Also, her perpetual smile, Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes, and slow, relaxed nature makes it look like she's bored or not taking things seriously, even when she actually is being serious about something, so her friends think she's behaving inappropriately, and she feels out of place because she's bringing things down.
- Uto is a Chuunibyou who pretends to be a Wandering Minstrel, resulting in behavior that confuses people who cross her path.
- Mai worships Mei to the point where she considers her a sister and Rentarou a man undeserving of Mei.
Girlfriends 21-
- Momoha is a full-blown hedonist with zero control over her desires and zero restraint on the favors she does for others.
- Rin has a secret fetish for gore and violence due to her parents isolating her from anything family unfriendly.
- Suu is in love with numbers to the exclusion of most everything else, but lacks basic math skills due to her obsession interfering with her ability to learn the subject - being someone who loves numbers as they are, she can't wrap her head around one number becoming another.
- Eira is deathly afraid of anything that can't be dealt with by physically attacking them.
- Tama was so traumatized by her job that she contemplated committing suicide to be reincarnated as a cat, before deciding she might as well quit her job and become a cat in this life instead.
- Himeka has an obsession with making herself appear as abnormal as possible.
- Matsuri considers festivals to be Serious Business and embraces Elegant Gothic Lolita culture without actually understanding it.
- Shiina Hates Being Alone so much that she stalked Rentarou and his girlfriends before she was even aware of the fact that she was one of his soulmates.
