The elves from the land of Telora have a problem:
Their magical powers are becoming rarer with each passing generation, and fewer elves live past
a couple of centuries. But all that could turn around soon: The hero Vonar Dugalesh has brought word from the mysterious "New World" across the ocean. There, the natives speak of a magic spring that can restore anyone's ills. Seeing a chance to turn her nation's luck around, the Queen send forth an expedition, led by Vonar, to find this
Fountain of Youth.
The journey is narrated by Edor Falayas, Vonar's friend and
the healer of the expedition, from his journal entries. Things go poorly at first,
then get much worse.
