Your love interests include:

  • Jamie Langdon: Your best friend since childhood. A bit ditzy, rather idealistic, and decidedly hotheaded, but they've got a good heart. (Even if you've had to keep them from getting strangled to death more than a few times after they goaded someone into a fight they certainly couldn't win. Cough, cough, any of their fights with Nox.) They're the lead vocalist for the band they started at the beginning of high school, and they're desperately trying to hold it all together long enough to enter and win the local Battle of the Bands before the end of senior year.
  • Rose Hailey:
  • Akane Kiyama:
  • Nox Nedza: The school's resident bad boy. Obsessed with music, fashion, and all things creepy and occult. They're the current bassist for Jamie's band, and an absolute asshole to boot. All that aside, word around the block is that he's the kind of person that's best observed from a distance. Like, "an entire country away from them" kind of distance. How he still has people willing to hang around him is a mystery to all, as is the crush Jamie's had on him since freshman year.
  • Nicholas Zira:
  • Charlie Thatch:
  • Kit Theiss:

Tropes present in I Think There's Something You're Not Telling Me include:

  • Barred from the Afterlife: Three separate characters that you meet are forced to deal with this fate, though for differing reasons.
    • Charlie
    • Nox
    • Kit
  • Dead All Along: Charlie is the most straightforward example of this, considering that xe're a ghost brought back by Kit a year before the story began. Technically, Kit and Nox also qualify themselves, considering that Kit is a human brought back to life in order to serve as a psychopomp for all eternity, and Nox is a human who made a deal in Hell after their death to come back to Earth as a demon.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper:
  • Fate Worse than Death: Kit seems to view their existence as one of these, considering that their role as The Guide comes with very little benefit to them directly, prevents them from ever moving on to the afterlife like the people they help to get to it, and is slowly destroying their mind and sanity due to displacement (their role forces them to exist in some way across every point in time in order to guide all of the dead no matter what, which isn't exactly great for one's mental state.)
  • Friendly Ghost: Charlie is one of these, having died a year before the story began, and Kit bringing them back to the human world as a favor didn't change xer personality one iota. Xe're still a good, kind person, just a bit snarky and a bit of a tease when it comes to xer friends.
  • Demon of Human Origin: Nox is one of these. And depending on certain choices made and which route you choose, Jamie can become one as well. Though any human that contracts with a demon has the opportunity to carry out this trope.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: Due to their various forms of immortality, nearly any romance with one of The Outsiders, (excluding Nick), is almost certainly bound to end this way.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different:
  • Psychopomp:
