Goon Gumpas is a strange, parodic "superhero" story focusing on Bradley and Stryder, two large humanoids in superhero outfits who defend the (rather small) denizens from those who become Criminals under certain circumstances.
...except there hasn't been much crime in their lives. Due to this, they do (mostly) everyday things, and anything bad that happens tends to be relatively minor.
- Acrofatic: Both Bradley and Stryder manage to be relatively fast despite being out of shape. It's more so for Stryder due to his smaller size compared to Bradley.
- Ambiguously Human: The two main leads never have their hero masks off, which makes it difficult to see if they're human. The story also describes them as "humanoids".
- Animal Motifs: Bradley's costume is based off of bears, while Stryder's is based off of cats.
- Eldritch Abomination: Those who become Criminals are turned into one. Good thing they turn back after being beaten.
- Foil: Bradley is kind, gentle, and optimistic to a fault. Stryder, on the other hand, is the exact opposite to anyone that isn't Bradley, and has little faith in people. Bradley is a Mighty Glacier who initially must have the opponent in a certain position to fully take advantage of his powers; Stryder is a Fragile Speedster who can use his powers freely but only if he's holding something.
- Gravity Master: Bradley's power, Hello Goodbye, lets him attract things with his left hand, and repels things with his right. It only activates if the target is in front of his hands, however.
- Stout Strength: The heroes tend to be on the heavy side, but are incredibly strong because of it.
- Swap Teleportation: Stryder's power, Mad Pierrot, allows him to switch the position of things, but only if he's holding something in on of his hands.
- Titled After the Song: The title is named after a song made by Aphex Twin.
