Stuart McGugan, (2 March 1944), is a Scottish actor best known for playing Gunner Mackintosh in It Ain't Half Hot, Mum.

His first televised acting role came in 1966, in an episode of This Man Craig. The rest of The '60s for McGugan only had one small role in an episode of The Revenue Men. The '70s picked up his career, with McGugan being cast as Gunner Mackintosh in It Ain't Half Hot, Mum in 1974 and starting a ten-year career as a Play School presenter in 1975.

More big roles followed in The '80s, including Bomba MacAteer in Tutti Frutti and Gordon Stewart in Wish Me Luck. At the start of The '90s, Croft and Perry (who had co-written Half Hot, Mum) cast him in five episodes of their newest series, You Rang, M'Lord?, as Jock MacGregor. He also appeared in The Chief as Detective Chief Superintendent Sean McCloud and in Hamish Macbeth as Barney Meldon.

After the '90s, McGugan was more often cast in smaller roles, making guest appearances in Murphy's Law, Heartbeat, CASUAL+Y, Doctors, Silent Witness, and Benidorm.
