Moriah Elizabeth is an arts-and-crafts YouTuber. Her most popular series is Squishy Makeovers.

Some other series on her channel include Create This Book, Things to Do When Bored, Bake With Me, and Painting on Things. She loves rainbows and sprinkles. She will often give advice on the arts and crafts she does in case any viewers are artists themselves. She also often creates a new character in each of her videos.

This article is a work in progress.

Trope folders for Moriah's series:

    open/close all folders

    General, multiple series, non-series
  • Abandoned Mascot: While Pickle is not abandoned per se, he's quickly being overshadowed by Georgie.
  • Dainty Little Ballet Dancers: Averted. Moriah was apparently a corps de ballet dancer, but makes a point of emphasizing that she fell on stage during a show, with video evidence.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Her very first videos are parodies and social commentaries. Her first arts-and-crafts videos are also more serious and lack the rapid-fire, quirky humor later in the channel's run.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: She has a noticeable preference for rainbow coloring and features it frequently in her projects.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Her initials are ME, which is spelled the same as "me". This leads to her opening her videos with "Hey, it's ME (me)", and many of her series are titled "[X] with ME."
  • I Can't Dance: Moriah has background in ballet, but is not very proud of it and repeatedly points out the one time she fell on stage.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: She owned a cat named Opie, which cameos in many episodes. He has passed away circa 2022.
  • Leitmotif: The "sprinkle song" is a jingle that plays every time Moriah adds sprinkles to any of her projects.
  • Minidress of Power: The circus bear standing on a ball in Painting Old Nasty Ornaments originally comes with a rather pointless strip of wavy cloth around its waist that doesn't actually cover anything.
"Taking the miniskirt to the next level."
  • Obsessed with Food: Food motifs, especially desserts, feature prominently in her projects. There's an even a dedicated theme tune every time sprinkles are used.
  • Rewatch Bonus: Her workshop in later videos would prominently feature products from previous episodes in the background. This adds a layer of appeal for people who watch her videos in order.
  • Shout-Out: Moriah generally avoids creating designs based on copyrighted characters and intellectual properties, but occasionally dips into this. One of the squishies in episode 8 of Squishy Makeover is designed into Marie from The Aristocats.

    Squishy Makeovers
  • Absurd Phobia: Muscle Chicken's son is apparently constantly afraid, and makes a chicken sound whenever he gets scared.
Moriah: Let's let him live in perpetual fear of everything!
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: A few of the squishies are this.
    • Nana wears a giant bow.
    • Muscle Chicken's son wears a bowtie.
    • Duck Bride's daughter wears an eggshell as a hat.
    • Shelly wears a cupcake as a hat and Eustace wears an ice cream cone.
    • Willy also wears a bowtie.
    • Grumpy Cherry Beary wears nothing but a hood.
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: The custom colors used in episode 30 all have alliterative names. In order, they're Cotton Candy (pink), Crisp Cantaloupe (orange), Soft Sunshine (yellow), Key Lime Cream (green), Serene Sky (blue), Pale Plum (purple).
  • Aerith and Bob: For the squishies that do have names, we have Georgie, Eustace, Shelly, Willy, Rosie, Fred, Alfred, and then we have Cupie, Nana, Nilla, Pickle, and Cousin Derp.
  • Affectionate Nickname: She gives a lot of her squishies names.
  • Agonizing Stomach Wound: She had to cut up Nilla's stomach to make the donut proportionate to the body size.
  • Alpha Bitch: In episode 24, Team Unicorn is implied to be this to Rosie.
  • Ambiguously Evil: Again, Team Unicorn.
  • Amputation Stops Spread: In Fixing the Unfixable episode 1:
"This is how surgery works, okay: we gotta cut out all the nasty infections before we can start to heal."
  • And I Must Scream: The Hopeless Bin is a bin for squishies Moriah thinks she has no chance at fixing. It houses horribly mutilated squishies who will most likely stay there forever. A few of them were fixed recently, however, and were turned into Fred, a normal looking squishy.
  • Arch-Enemy: Rosie and Team Unicorn.
  • Artistic License – Biology: In episode 14, she repaints a cat squishy into a calico while still calling it a "he".
  • Ascended Extra: Pickle. And Alfred, to a lesser extent.
  • Baby Talk: Moriah does this in episode 10 when talking to the baby hamster.
  • Best Friend: A few of the pairs are this.
  • Big Bad: The unnamed "Face Of Failure" is the closest thing Squishy Makeovers has to one.
  • Big Eater: Cousin Derp.
  • Big Red Button: The "Do Not Push" button in "Decorating All My Panda Buns (Well...Almost)". Rudolph's nose was also jokingly used as one.
  • Bloodless Carnage: Squishies before undergoing makeovers are almost always damaged, in some cases in truly horrifying manners that would qualify as gore if not on soft toys made of foam. Moriah would then go on to cut them up even further.
  • Brick Joke: Squishy Roasting.
  • Christmas Episode: "Squishy Makeover: Christmas/Winter Edition".
  • Comical Angry Face: Shelly has this.
  • Cute Kitten: A lot of the cat squishies.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Derp seemingly attempts to eat anything and anyone, even his own cousin.
  • Family of Choice: The chicken/duck couple, each already having their own offspring prior to their marriage. They marry anyway and happily live with their children, who have become stepsiblings.
  • Fusion Dance: Many of the repaired squishies are combined from two or more squishies. Episode 9 is dedicated to making only one of these: a giant dessert bowl combined from nine separate squishies.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Moriah avoids working with human squishies due to how hard it is to make serviceable humanoid designs compared to cartoonish animals and objects. Her first attempt at making one lead to the infamous "face of failure".
  • Interspecies Romance: The so-called chicken family created in episode 11. Moriah originally wanted to create a couple of chicken squishies in wedding attire only to realize halfway through that the bride is a duck.
  • Medical Horror: The squishy repairs oftentimes end up as gruesome as their damage in the first place.
  • Nightmare Face/Uncanny Valley Makeup: The "face of failure", the first failed squishy makeover, is a human squishy whose face paint job ends up horribly botched, with a chunky surface and terrifying expression.
  • Off with His Head!: Animal squishies with neck tears and outright decapitation are common. Many repairs involve decapitation as well, in the form of taking an animal's head or only the top of an ice cream cone and such.
  • Visual Innuendo: Many squishies originally came with designs or sustained injuries that were suggestive. For instance, the cat squishy in episode 14 originally had its tail positioned between its legs in a rather unfortunate manner; the first thing Moriah does to it is cutting the tail and turning it around.
