Tropes used by this author include:

  • All Your Powers Combined: Very fond of the trope of a character being able to transform into every member of a group of superheroes, or having all their powers at the same time.
  • Author Appeal: Has a couple of distinct trademarks that show up repeatedly in his stories.
    • Most of his stories have a protagonist who's a Kamen Rider, and borrow heavily on elements from that property.
    • Most of his protagonists end up having a big loving family, lots of devoted friends, and a harem of loyal girlfriends.
    • Seems to be big into shipping and coupling, bordering almost on Everyone Must Be Paired.
  • Fix Fic: A semi-common premise for him and other writers he was friends with was to take an anime/video game with a sad story, and send in a superhero OC as the new main character to make things a lot less difficult and more happy for the characters.
  • Storybreaker Teamup: Happened a lot in his older works, because of his fascination with the Kamen Rider series. That meant a lot of high-powered superheroes were introduced into a setting that wasn't about that before, and almost always led to the show being crossed over with reduced to a backdrop. He's gotten somewhat better about it post-Armored War Gods.
  • Sweat Drop: Constantly uses this as a dialogue tag in his fics when something happens that would result in one (Like, " 'I can't believe something that ridiculous happened,' Kanu sweatdropped.")
