Didier Morville (born October 27, 1967 in Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis departement), better known as JoeyStarr, is a French rapper, actor and radio host of Afro-Martinican and Chinese descent.
After a difficult youth in the low income multi-ethnic banlieues (suburbs) of Seine-Saint-Denis around Paris, he started off as a rapper, and came to dominate the French Hardcore Hip-Hop scene in The '90s along with Bruno Lopes aka Kool Shen as one half of the band Suprême NTM, which reached mainstream success. While Kool Shen was the Motor Mouth, he provided the Harsh Vocals.
Since the band stopped making albums in 1998 (though they reunite for tours on occasion), he has ventured into acting, notably in the films directed by his once-girlfriend Maïwenn starting in 2008.
He is also the French dub voice of Ted.
