Eric Leslie Barker, (12 February 1912 — 1 June 1990), was a British comedy actor known for his few roles in the Carry On... Series.

He started in show business during World War II, when he appeared in Merry Go Round, a radio show he helped write. Following the war, he moved on to TV and film roles. He starred in The Eric Barker Half-Hour, a comedy sketch show that ran for three series, and wrote his autobiography Steady Barker in 1956.

After winning a BAFTA for his appearance in the film Brothers in Law, he consistently had film roles for 20 years, such as three St. Trinian's films and four Carry On films. He was often Typecast into roles such as busybodies or authority figures in films including Dentist in the Chair (and the sequel, Dentist on the Job), Nearly a Nasty Accident, Raising the Wind, and Doctor in Clover.

He was married to fellow actress Pearl Hackney and passed away at the age of 78.
