Anjelica Huston (born July 8, 1951) is an American actress. With her statuesque height, angular face and piercing stare, she has carved herself a niche playing women who range from authoritative and only mildly intimidating, to awesome and terrifying evil queens and witches. This is the actor you call upon to play the ideal screen Morticia Addams, the quintessential Evil Stepmother, or anybody with the title of Grand High Witch.
However, she can play kind, loving characters if you let her, as Wes Anderson has done in The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Darjeeling Limited.
She happens to be the daughter of John Huston, the granddaughter of Walter Huston and the aunt of Jack Huston. (Since both of them had gotten Oscars, when she won Best Supporting Actress for Prizzi's Honor, she became the third member of her family to get one.) Her brothers are Tony Huston and Danny Huston. She dated Jack Nicholson from 1973 to 1989 and was married to sculptor Robert Graham from 1992 to his death in 2008.
