Terror Inc. is a 1992 Superhero Horror comic book series, published by Marvel Comics.

Set in the shared Marvel Universe, it stars the antihero Terror, an eternal entity that survives in a ever-changing patchwork body of stolen limbs and organs. By taking part of someone's body, Terror can tap into their skills — and if they happen to be superhuman, he may be able to manifest their powers as well.

The original version of Terror, named Shreck, was created by writers Dan Chichester and Margaret Clark and artist Klaus Janson, and appeared as a villain in the Shadowline comic St. George, from Marvel's Epic Comics imprint.

After Terror, Inc. was cancelled, an alternate version of Terror starred in two "mature readers" miniseries published by the Marvel MAX imprint - Terror, Inc. (MAX) and Terror, Inc. - Apocalypse Soon.

The Marvel Universe version later reappeared in Deadpool and the Mercs for Money.

Terror Inc. provides examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Many, many people lose limbs during the series. Terror loses and replaces arms and legs on a regular basis, which generally means his opponents' minions are also going to lose lots of arms and legs.
  • Appendage Assimilation: Terror assimilates all sorts of body parts. It's a necessity, since his body and any biomass he assimilates into it rapidly rot.
  • The Assimilator: The Terror is a living corpse whose body is continually rotting; he takes other people's body parts to rebuild himself, although these continue to decay. He gains their memories, skills, and sometimes even feelings; he has even been seen to give himself wings, fangs or a prehensile tail. He can even gain superpowers from the parts, although they have to be the parts that contain the powers (for example, he couldn't steal Cyclops' finger and gain optic blasts).
  • Badass Transplant: This is Terror's shtick — he can replace lost body parts with limbs and organs taken from other organisms. He then gains the skills and abilities of the person or being to whom the "borrowed" part belongs.
  • Canon Welding: Terror, as Shreck, appeared in the Epic Comics Shadowline books, which were initially completely disconnected from the main Marvel Universe and its wider multiverse.
  • Eye Remember: Terror can access the visual memory of any person whose eyes he grafts to his own body using his broader Appendage Assimilation ability.
  • Pulling Themselves Together: Terror has the ability to replace parts of his body with those of others, including animals. Good thing too, since his body is constantly rotting away. He can secrete a substance akin to an extremely fast-working digestive enzyme from his skin, which makes tearing off body parts even from still-living people easy. An added perk is that he gains access to memories and skills related to the body parts he assimilates: an eye allows him to see what the original person saw, an arm from an artist can help him draw accurate sketches, and so on.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: Rekrab, a shopkeeper and occultist, is a Shout-Out and Expy of Clive Barker. In the first issue Terror's playing with a Lament Configuration puzzle box in his shop.
  • Spin-Off: Of St. George.
  • Superhero Horror: Terror Inc. was a dark series set in the Marvel Universe following an immortal assassin who replaced body parts by tearing them off of other people.
  • Walking Transplant: Terror is able to replace body parts by tearing them off of other people, also allowing him to copy their abilities — something like a Body Horror version of Rogue.
  • Villain Protagonist: Terror is a hitman who can copy the abilities of others by ripping off their limbs and grafting them to his own body. So yes.
