Nalu
A female Nopon of the Drongo Caravan who is actually a crooked merchant.
- Crocodile Tears: When Rook first meets Nalu, she's crying over the inevitable prospect of a Ganglion attack on the Caravan if she doesn't fill out a ransom demand.It turns out to be a scam.
- Karma Houdini: Nalu can get away scot-free if you don't report her to Lularita.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Nalu is not above using underhanded tactics to turn a profit and elevate her career.Even if it includes doing business with the Ganglion.
- Verbal Backpedaling: After Rook finds Nalu bragging about how good she was in tricking Rook to do her collection errands, she claims that she only said those things out of fear to appease the Ganglion and then says the Caravan is being threatened by them again.The caravan was never in any danger to begin with.
Ma-non NPCs
Ackwar
A male Ma-non who joined the Mediators Division to help the humans, becoming the first Ma-non member of BLADE.
- Engineered Public Confession: Ackwar can survive to get a recording of the Killer's confession.Provivded that Gerome wasn't blown to pieces.
Malyteth
A female Ma-non who has an unexplainable feeling of emptiness in her heart.
- Belief Makes You Stupid: Malyteth starts to follow Fraisie and believe in her Bringer of Miracles to help dispel her own feelings of emptiness.It ends up being a mistake.
- Driven to Suicide: After being caught by Rook for acting suspicious near the Biahno Water-purification Plant, Malyteth cries out for the Bringer of Miracles to deliver her after taking springtail assassin poison.
May May
A female Ma-non who has an expertise in metallurgy and founded the Shimmer & Savvy Financial Group.
- Money for Nothing: Her device, the Miranimogrifier, can transmogrify Miranium into credits.
Mikkal
A male Ma-non who becomes overly obsessed with Pizza.
- Descent into Addiction: Mikkal is an unfortunate and disturbing example of a Ma-non that loses control of their emotions: The fascinating taste of Pizza starts him on an eating spree that he simply can't stop, causing him to become irritable and even hostile to the people delivering them.
- Jerkass Victim: Mikkal is undoubtedly one of the Ma-non that pushed Powell the wrong way. Powell pays him back in kind with a poisoned Pizza.
Panyar
A female Ma-non who develops a keen interest in fashion.
- Didn't Think This Through: Panyar and Victoria decided to try and start a fashion line of underwear for Ma-non with a test example being made from supple leather. Panyar abandons the idea after a very uncomfortable experience and switches to making a perfume brand instead.note
Staccata
A male Ma-non who serves as a medical careworker for his kind.
- Magic Versus Science: Staccata finds himself at odds with Fraisie and Malyteth over the issue of a sudden and mysterious illness among the Ma-non.
