WARNING: Heavy unmarked spoilers for Advent Directive.

This page deals with the denizens of the Spheres (the collective name given to the many different universes in existence); More specifically, the denizens of Spheres outside our own (named the Sphere of the Sovereign).

The Sphere of the Throne

    General Tropes
    The Sage-King

Auberon Muircetach, Sage-King of the Throne World

The supreme ruler of the Throne World and all of its domain.

  • Adaptational Badass: This story's version of Auberon has him be what is essentially a living Conjunction of the Spheres, and according to Word of God, powerful enough to match a Sovereign One. No wonder Eredin never killed him here.

The Red Riders

    The Lord

Eredin Bréacc Glas, Lord of the Riders

The commander of the Throne World's Riders.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Downplayed; he is the Battlemaster's chief ally in getting rid of the Entity, but as the commander of the Red Riders and subordinate to the Sage-King, he's still leading the forces hunting for Fiona/Ciri.
    The General

Caranthir Ar-Feiniel, General of the Riders

A high-ranking figure among the Riders, and one of the Lord's trusted confidants.
    The Warmaster

Imlerith, the Warmaster

An immense figure, and one of the Riders' most powerful soldiers.

  • The Brute: Tall enough to look the Battlemaster in the eye, and strong enough to fight him to a standstill.
    The Viceroy

The Viceroy

Another highly influential figure within the Throne World and among the Riders themselves, undertaking operations within the Sphere of the Sovereign. May or may not be Ge'els.

  • The Ghost: Possibly subverted; though there has been no indication of his direct presence thus far, there are hints that he may be Barron Geeles, XCOM's Chief Information Coordinator:
    • Geeles is described as a tall man with white hair and an aged face. The Aen Elle are described as being taller than humans, and the other listed traits are ones also possessed by Ge'els.
    • He is also noted to be a proficient artist, drawing an anime-inspired "portrait" of JULIAN. In canon, Ge'els was introduced painting a portrait of an elven woman.
    • Finally, their names. Geeles. Ge'els.
  • The Mole: One within XCOM itself, as revealed in Chapter 75 of Advent Directive, seeing as he was able to acquire information on the Commander's decision to open contact with the Throne World.
  • No Name Given: As usual with Rider-affiliated characters. That being said, it's likely he may be Ge'els (known in canon as the Viceroy of Tir ná Lia).
    The Hunter

The Hunter

A mercenary beholden to the Throne World. He is a Witcher, from the School of the Viper.

  • No Name Given: The story exclusively refers to him as "Hunter" or "Viper". Unlike the other Aen Elle, there is no indication or hint of his actual name in the story.
    Nithral

Nithral

The Aen Elle's General of the High Sciences.

  • Adaptation Deviation: Hoo boy. Suffice to say, canon!Nithral was just a warrior of the Wild Hunt, with nothing hinting at any form of interest in the sciences.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: He doesn't view the Aen Elle's tendencies with "lesser" Spheres in a positive light, and has gone so far as to swear to himself he would never reach such a low point as General.

The Sphere of the Fallen

The universe known as the Sphere of the Fallen is notoriously unstable in terms of its laws of reality. Oddly, it does not seem to house any evolved life, except for a single planet, one that saw the arrival of several species following the event known as the Conjunction of the Spheres.
    The Usurper

Ralvern var Sora, the Usurper

A Witcher formerly in service to the School of the Golden Sun, he rose to notoriety after overthrowing the then-Imperator of the Nilfgaardian Empire, Emhyr var Emreis. His reign would not last long, as Emhyr would later retake the Empire, sending Ralvern on the run and naming him the Usurper.

  • Adaptational Badass: The Usurper of canon was a regular soldier who was killed by Emhyr when he retook control of Nilfgaard. Here, he's a Witcher, and naturally survives Emhyr's attempt on his life.
    The Unseen Elder

Hashan'Gaarhl, Unseen Elder

A massively powerful paracausal entity in command of the "Yahrnas ohr Gàidh", more commonly known as "vampires".
    The Elven Subject

Velanna

An elf retrieved from another continent in the Sphere of the Fallen. As with all elves in her homeland, she's smaller and weaker than the average Aen Seidhe, but she has a corruptive agent in her body that proves to be of interest to the researchers of the Throne World.
